I’m glad in a way. Most of our lot could certainly use the rest. Hopefully, Harry boy will be fit enough to take some part too...

On a separate issue...city staff and players singing about pool fans being battered to celebrate winning the league...an odious ****ty chavy club with the charm of John Terry...or those ****wits in claret and blue singing about Lazio nearly killing one of ours...just proves money can buy you everything but class.

Fingers crossed for a decent referee, it would be awful if we were dived out of it.

That may well be the case, but I think that on balance we'll get a better deal from a foreign ref (famous last words) than a PL ref. I really think that a PL ref seeing the Citeh VAR replays might just have come to another conclusion. Similarly there is no way a PL ref would have allowed (the correct) added time away at Ajax. There are umpteen examples of how subjective decisions go in favour of certain teams and sadly I'm not sure VAR is going to change that, though it might improve things a bit. However there should also be independent timekeeping because again, subjectively time added on seems to depend on what team is playing and how much they need (or don't want) it.

My younger brother's going and got a ticket. I'll be at the stadium with my. daughter This is my 50th anniversary of my first game and my dad's 70th.

I never thought that I'd see the day, although I never gave up hope it might happen. So proud of the club fighting back from where we'd fallen to in the late 90's.

I don't really want you to win but i think its fated. Late winners in cl to go through in cl stage and inter messing up at home.

You beat one of the favourites in two legs through accidental handball (still a goal) and correct last minute offside goal for city chalked off.

You score a last minute goal against ajax.

Also the season started super early so now your knackered players can recover

Most convincingly of all i had a dream last night for some random reason that you actually won it

I agree that the general standard of the reffing in the CL games has been far better than the PL. The easiest example is while you might disagree with decisions you could normally at least understand how the ref came to the decision where as in the PL it often seems entirely random .

Brief check: we don't have the ref from the Coppa Italia final do we? The one who ignored the blatant handball by a Lazio player to deny Atalanta a goal and didn't bother to consult VAR, which of course led to Lazio going up the other end and scoring?
