Yes...your right....good enough to play 193 times for Leicester and win the title.....goes to Chelsea in 2017 and in two seasons only gets 12 starts and 1 sub in the league and overall 23 games in all competitions......out of sight and out of mind....I expect the money is good.....but as I've said it before about Chelsea, they just hoover up players and loan dozens of them out all over the place.....why hasn't he played more games....has he had a long term injury or has he just disappeared into the woodwork.....enough to make you turn to drink.....oops.
Nine days to go till EU voting and we got our first election communications through the letter box today. Labour have sent us a general leaflet....with some blood boiling jokes....sorry headlines on it...picture of a very smart Corbyn and the comment that...'Labour will bring our country together'.....what world has that come from. Second leaflet personally addressed to my wife from the ...'Brexit Party'...saying all the obvious statements such as.....'These European elections were never supposed to happen' etc..... seems quite well put together.....from a party that only became official a month or so ago and mailing people personally. The two usual front runners in this area...Conservatives & Lib-Dems have not as yet sent anything.....this is part of the London voting area.
That's because neither of them know what to say. Both have split into factions over Brexit. It's hard to see how the Conservative Party can survive in its present form given the huge rift that's been illuminated between the ERG minority and the rest, Meanwhile, I read that Tom Watson has been encouraging Blairite entry-ists to join Labour with a view to using Corbyn's own tactics to oust him. The momentum for this (pardon the political pun) is partly that Corbyn's pro-Brexit stance is driven by his fear that continuing EU membership would prevent him following a hard-left agenda as PM.
Also from the BBC: Uefa investigators want Manchester City to be banned from the Champions League for a season if they are found guilty of breaking financial rules. However, according to one well-placed source, a final decision is yet to be made by chief investigator Yves Leterme. The former Belgian prime minister, chairman of the investigatory panel of Uefa's independent financial control board, is set to make a recommendation this week. and his team have been looking at evidence first uncovered in a series of leaks published by the German newspaper Der Spiegel last year. The reports alleged that Manchester City had broken Financial Fair Play regulations by inflating the value of a multimillion-pound sponsorship deal. City were fined £49m in 2014 for a previous breach of regulations. About time too......
£49 million...that would just about build us a new stadium....let alone finish this hodge podge one we have now.
The Premier League did a deal with the TV people for more bucks than a rodeo film. They now want to look into a team spending too much money.................priceless. Have a look at teams in the lower divisions who spend way more than the club genuinely generates yet somehow it doesn't infringe the rules of financial fair play.
Teams in the lower divisions who spend too much money... eventually go bust....and into administration.
God, Charlton made hard work of that. I bet there are a few soiled pants hanging around including the dressing room. I wouldn't know which way to call the final now. You can book your tickets for your second 11 now Plym..........
Charlton...1-2...Doncaster at F/T....then 2-3 after extra time.....so with Charlton winning 2-1 at Doncaster (12th May) the overall result was 4-4. ......and Charlton won the penalty shoot-out 4-3 and play Sunderland in the final at Wembley on Sunday 26th of May.
They were lucky in this game, the pompey game was a bore also .. i have watched all the playoff games and have been otherwise entertaining, lots of goals and red cards/
Massacre at Wembley.....Man C's subs where worth many times more than the whole Watford team....in fact Aguero couldn't even get a game as a sub.
Tickets already acquired for the final.....I reckon there could be between 60 & 70 thousand for this one.
It should be a full house given that Sunderland have a massive following and Charlton is on the doorstep of Wembley. Watched the Cup Final today. Became boring after a while with it being so one sided. Have to say that Man City are a cut above the rest aren't they. The game was over at 2 - 0 and Watford never ever looked like getting into it. The shocking thing for me was the way Man City play out from the back. It's enough to give you kittens but they do it so easily and never seem to look in trouble. Imagine that at Home Park for christ sake. My dickie ticker wouldn't stand it for long.
Last night was our annual humiliation and public hanging session.....yes that's right the European Song Contest.....ok we only had a very ordinary song which personally was no worse than a dozen others....but of course we came last with 16pts, the winners Holland had 492 pts. Italy second with 465 pts and Russia third with 369 pts (luckily no singing grannies this time). Why do we bother...it must cost a small fortune to enter....why don't we just accept that they don't like us.....but I'm still having problems working out which part of Europe Australia is in and of course it was held in Israel which the last time I looked was in the middle east and in a different continent. PS.....I had forgotten to hire my sack cloth and ashes outfit....but I think I got away with it....I don't think they noticed.
