The Tigers’ starting XI that day and where they are now...

GK- Allan McGregor- The Scotland international is back playing in Scotland for Rangers for his second spell at the Glasgow side.

RWB- Ahmed Elmohamady- He spent five years at the KCOM Stadium but now plays for fellow Championship side Aston Villa.

CB- James Chester- The goal scorer of the Tigers’ first in the final also plays for Aston Villa nowadays.

CB- Curtis Davies- The scorer of Hull’s second joined Derby County in the summer of 2017.

CB- Alex Bruce- The 34-year-old is playing in Scotland for Kilmarnock. Since leaving Hull in 2017 he has played for Wigan Athletic and Bury.

LB- Liam Rosenior- He is now a pundit for Sky Sports and went onto play for Brighton and Hove Albion after Hull.

CM- Jake Livermore- West Brom paid £10 million to sign him from Hull in January 2017. He is back playing in the second tier now.

CM- Tom Huddlestone- Like Davies, Huddlestone switched East Yorkshire for a move to Derbyshire to join the Rams in 2017.

CM- David Meyler- The Republic of Ireland international is currently on the books at Reading but spent the last half of last season on loan at Coventry City.

AM- Stephen Quinn- He now plays in League One for Burton Albion.

ST- Matty Fryatt- The 33-year-old was forced to retire from the game due to injury in February 2018. His goals in Hull’s run-in to the FA Cup final in 2014 were crucial.

To this day I can only watch our two goals and the off the line then have to switch off, too painful.

Still one of the best days of my life, even with the result - really, the result, for me at least, doesn't matter - the occasion was all I wanted or needed.

Only time I think I've cried at a match too, during Abide with Me.

That's when it sunk in - where I was, why I was there and what we were doing.

    Bowled me over.

An unforgettable day out, but I just can't bring myself to watch the replay again. I watch the Semi Final quite often, and Huddlestone's goal is still one of my favourites.

I still feel if either (1) Alex Bruce header had gone in to make it 3 or (2) McGregor had saved the free kick which in my opinion he should have or (3) Bruce hadn't got injured, as the game changed after he went off. We may well have hung on for the win.

I was the only City supporter in a pub full of Arsenal/neutrals. Genuinely feared for my wellbeing at 2 nil.

I loved it, but it didn't come close to Wembley 2008 for me. The first time at Wembley, a shot at a first appearance in the top flight, a couple of local lads in the team alongside non-superstars but players you could really identify with, and no Allams. No Arsenal fans too. We also won with an incredible goal.

Anyone aged 35 or more will have grown up watching not just the FA Cup, but the build-up too, which was of huge importance. Being part of all that - albeit in the reduced role it has these days - and playing a part in one of the best three or so finals this century was utterly fantastic, don't get me wrong. Maybe if we'd won it would have been on a par with 2008.

For me they were both special days, albeit for differing reasons.

The feelings & experience generated in 2008 were all new to us, by the time 2014 came around the experience was different.

2008 was the pinnacle for any long attending City supporter. All that’s happened since has been compared, by many, to the big time & not what came before.

A Cup Final was very special too. I don’t tend to watch them nowadays as, for me, it lacks the “big day atmosphere” that it had when I was growing up dreaming that one day it would be us.

I forgot the time and blooming missed Abide With Me as I got embroiled in the hour-long rendition of 'Oh when the Hull go marching in' on the concourse

Got into the seats about a minute before it started.

    It was a smack-in-the-face moment.

I think it did come close to 2008. I had a strong sense of destiny in 2008 and was also very confident against both Sheffield's but the Cup Final I just wanted to enjoy the day without really believing we could win it. When we went 2 up I was as emotional as when Deano scored in 2008, just couldn't believe we'd given ourselves a real chance to win the FA Cup. Magnificent day.

I flew in to Manchester from Orlando on the morning, I had to pick my ticket up from a friend, get the train to London, hotel, shower.
By the time I got to Wembley it was gone 2pm, great day out.
The highlights I find on YouTube never show the Gibbs tackle. I just have to watch the dvd for that!
Afterwards I wandered round Wembley looking for a Hull City pub, never found one, ended up back at my hotel & 1 beer & I was done.
Great day, one I’ll never forget!

The FA cup tops it all for me
Didn’t even feel like a loss really
We were happier than those miserable ****s who won and we stayed longer than them

    Amazing day
    The players gave everything.

I remember my wife cried at end because she felt so proud of the team.
She's is not a big football fan but she got caught up in the day and the emotions of it all.

Strangley yeovil in 2004 was more emotional than any of our Wembley visits.
