    Likewise (B).
Tried same as RonB.- used a long dormant customer reference number. Honestly can't remember last time I used it, it was that long ago
    But it worked.
So it seems that those boycotting can still vote, so long as they have their old customer reference number to hand somewhere.

I just typed in a completely random number and it said thank you for voting, your vote has been counted.

So either I happened upon a genuine number, the system is broken or non valid membership numbers don't actually work but you're led to believe they do.

I'm sure it validates the membership numbers further down the line. I typed in 123456 and it said the same.

Who does read it ? Yesterdays 'news' today ? Not everyone is interested in the best all day breakfast in town or who wants a new kitchen paid for by the council.

They claim that incorrect numbers will be filtered out later
Whether they can actually do that is another thing

Old habits die hard, I still buy it every day. The HUGE bonus is there's no comments section in the paper edition.

The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.

Hope they have a quick and easy system to filter them then.

Would be very easy to repeatedly vote with incorrect numbers if you wanted to protest the whole thing.

So if thats whats happening it means some people, inevitably, by mistake type their number in wrong, or mistakenly use a wrong number. They think their vote has been accepted. But down the line, unbeknown to them it gets rejected because it's incorrect.
    Brilliant.
Yet again it seems we can't trust anything that comes out of 'our' shambles of a club

    Yeah, it only came yesterday.

Although it was addressed to my nephew, there wasn’t one for me. Maybe they are only sending them to people who haven’t voted yet. Maybe I got his customer number wrong when I voted for him.

City have so far seen just over 35 per cent of current voters participate.

If another 5% don't vote before next Tuesday's deadline, the vote will be declared null and void.

Get voting if you haven't already (and you're one of the handful who are actually eligible).

With them wanting a 40% turnout that means they would accept the preference of anything over 20% of eligible voters. So if over 20% of those eligible vote for the same option regardless of whether the 40% turnout is reached, will they accept the result?? (that would be roughly 57.2% of a 35% turnout)

Probably not. Unless it is A.

Although they have promised to be transparent throughout so they should announce the result even if turnout is too low. Should the above scenario come to pass then they could be called out on it.
