Very few I think. A scattered handful, and probably no groups of two or three even. Any Charlton fan who buys more tickets than they need (without being specifically asked to by friends) and then sells them on to other fans to make a profit or to enhance their own reputation should be ashamed of themselves. Hoarding tickets and then offering them around as a kind of fake magnanimous gesture isn't right in my opinion. Tickets not needed should be left on sale, not harvested and then distributed again for personal reasons. I wonder how many of those 13,000 tickets bought yesterday are going to be sold on to strangers or touted for profit rather than actually being needed personally by the people who bought them? I wouldn't be surprised if it is a third at least. Probably more.
I can definitely put you in touch with people who can get you singles. I’m guessing that will be the issue for people tomorrow - sitting with people they want rather than being near @baraettmattesvensson
I don't have a problem with tourists/casual fans buying tickets, if they meet the qualifying restrictions at the time. If those tickets are for their own use and enjoyment that's fine. But if some Charlton fans are buying up lots of tickets with the notion of selling them on to other fans who they don't actually know personally - and maybe taking advantage of the demand by selling them above their face value - I don't like that at all.
But I think that is the case Mr Lardiman, surely my case is typical. Of the ten or so, if they had been successful, 3 or 4 would have been pure Charlton fans.
I'm glad you've managed to secure a ticket Elfs. There are genuine/life-long/dedicated Charlton fans of all kinds. 39,000 tickets should be enough to ensure nobody whose heart is forever Charlton should be missing out on this game.
Only singles in the decent areas , got tickets but shame not to be sitting with sons and mates .. I will know how you feel Ernie x
Tomorrow is the day bummie. Hopefully my mate will get it sorted. I'm not f****** around, I want the best seats along the side. Hugs n Kisses.
It’s not going well this morning. Mrs van Gerwen has been on the phone to the Ticket Office since 10am ....2 hours and counting I have given her strict instructions to remain in the queue, and will get my Sunday roast in the pub.
