    Alright guys

A lot of pool fans posts that I have been reading of late on here, Ja and elsewhere seem to be getting pretty fed up with AC due to under performance, price tag etc.

Basically come the end of the season and he has been little more than mediocre, would you be happy to take him back at say a cut price fee of about 10 or so million, or have newcastle moved on?

    Cheers/

Anzhi offered us 41 million for him I have you know. So with that in mind, let bidding commence at 42 million... :p

I don't necessarily think he's a bad player, but he still needs to adapt to our way of playing.

If he starts, then we resort to hoofing it upfield, but then we saw what he can do when he got 2 goals against City last year. We didn't hoof it up the pitch in that game, and if he's allowed to play more as a striker and less as a large target then I think he'll settle in and do fine.

This is the key to him. he isn't the lump everyone thinks. We know this better than anyone. Get it into his chest and feet. Allow him to become part of the attacking movements, dropping deep now and again. He is a good footballer.

Still think he should come back though!!!

Just a thought, could we afford his wages? <laugh>

He's on £80kpw now and would probably stamp his foot for at least that were he to come back.

Nah he need to take a paycut but I was told he would have stayed if he had been given parity with the highest earner. I'm happy to pay him that as he is a striker afterall. Surely a 30K drop is nothing to make you happy again?!

I'd pay no more than £5m but have concerns over team morale if he did come back....

Yeah but we're not that desperate for a striker.. I'd rather play 5 in midfield and some passing football than have another donkey in our team.
