I've since edited and have added Zico our most decorated player, the only Englishman to appear in 5 European Cup finals. I've also included Brucie too because no other keeper in English football can match his 6 title medals. The closest is 5, Ray Clemence and Peter Schmeichel.

They say Ryan Giggs has the most with 13..wrong. in both England and Scotland as both a player and a manager, Sir Kenny Dalglish won 14 title medals (He got 2 in 1986 plus 2 FA Cup medals one as a player and one as a manager ). 4 with Celtic, 9 with Liverpool and 1 with Blackburn.

Since when were Scotland part of English football? Might as well start racking up Willy Maley, Billy McNeil, Jock Stein with those tinpot Scottish titles on their own.

And why include his Blackburn title when he was not playing, but the manager?

 

what giggs achieved was impressive but i think nothing can match this man.

I make that 13 major, 4 minors.

And the majors were harder to qualify for.

so lets be fair about this ****... giggs was playing 20+ league games for utd at 39 years of age. and that was his last league title so his longevity and utds dominant position delivered quite a haul.

theres no need to get all pissy over this. If you like neal fair neough. I think the majority of non LFC fans would be looking at you like this though

As to 4 champions leagues? Who knows. Ronaldo is record with 5. Messi, iniesta and seedorf have 4.

It would require a team to repeat what ronaldo (and a small contribution apparently form real madrid) to win that many.

seedorf won them in a number of teams.

You need to dominate and be best in europe over 5 or 6 year period. Its possible but you'd have to be a top player in a top top team.

Not saying what giggs acheived isnt credible but no where near that of neal.

The fact is that despite all utds success in england they never dominated europe. giggs european titles are nearly 10 years apart. one offs.
