    Yep totally spot on
And that is what i dislike
Not the money, but and i say this clearly, it is not Citys fault
Purely down to a piss poor standard of refereeing

    Nah
I can honestly see where MITO was coming from. The management of said squads has been totally different.
Klopp would never have bought a player like pogba but utd have got very good depth. Martial on top form is unplayable so i would not call MITO on this one.

On another note i really think the whole discussion on finances is almost borderline to sounding like sore losers. If the refs did their due diligence they could sort city out. i believe that is why city struggle in Europe cause refs just dont take their ****.
Its there for all to see how city do it and if his other sides have done it its in the coaching, clearly.
As i have said before the daft thing is I dont think they even need to do it

I don't give a toss if others accuse me of that, tbh. I've maintained the same opinion for many years, and I won't be talked out of it. Money is ruining the game as we know it.
What we see now is the inevitable culmination of the events of the last two decades at least.
It remains to be seen if our league turns into a one-horse race for any length of time - perhaps others will figure out how to get at City, perhaps they themselves will find it impossible to maintain their momentum. Who knows?
Regardless of this, something has to be done to effectively limit the spending of all clubs to that generated by legitimate footballing means, otherwise it'll just keep happening all over again when a new filthy-rich owner buys in.
Fining them is no good, unless it's a truly massive one. Persistent offenders should be hit where it hurts. Competition bans or points deduction.

Nothing happens in isolation. Every club is part of the system. I used to say this to arsenal fans when Wenger used to cry about other clubs spending big - if you hate it so much why do you sell your players for astronomical fees? It's ok to be a part of said system when you're selling players, but hate it when clubs spend astronomical amounts buying them from others. Not realising that all of it has a knock on effect.

I think I know what you are saying and I sort of agree and I don’t care if people accuse of anything really
I just don’t see the point in us getting annoyed /sad whatever as money alway has and always will speak
Even in our hay day we contributed as a club as we paid well and raised the bar
City have just raised the bar higher - I think the only option is, sadly, you turn it off
My under 8 team had a training match against the other half of the squad last night
No money at stake - lower than a friendly
The passion on display was unbelievable
The diamonds equalised deep deep deep into injury time and the lad looked like he had won the World Cup
His dad was as funny too
That’s what football should be about but I don’t think it ever can again
I went through this in my head a season or so back where I contemplated not watching a pro game again
so I think you are right - totally but I just didn’t think it changeable and I defo don’t really think city have done anything wrong
They are chasing perfection and they don’t care. What/how they spend to get there.
I don’t no - I am bombed out now lol

It's great that the kids have a passion for the game, and this is my point - football means, and always has meant, much more than money to people at a grass-roots level. If all the big money went out of the game it would still have an avid following amongst those who matter, but it's been hi-jacked by people who see everything as a money-making opportunity.
The money has made it into a circus that attracts people without any real interest in it - the prawn-sandwich brigade of fans, the corporate dilettantes, and the avaricious owners, agents and various other parasites. Of course, this has the effect that we see the world's best players on our stage, but I honestly believe that real fans would still love watch and play the game without them.
As for our contribution to inflation half a century ago - you're right that money has always played a part, but there's no comparison between the disparity then to that which exists now. The inflationary curve is almost exponential - it will have to stop somehow, but I fear the damage is already done.
For me it's part of a wider issue as well - I just can't accept that it's ok for people to spend billions on what is essentially a toy when others, even in their own community, live in poverty and are denied basic human rights at times.
I understand that people long associated with City - the staff and real fans - want to enjoy their success regardless of its cause and I'm not really getting at them, but the bending and flouting of rules is typical of the arrogance of owners who have lived their lives buying anything and anyone they want.

There - that's my socialist rant over.
    For five minutes. :)

My biggest problem with city's money is not how much of it they have but rather where it's from.

It's great that Sterling decided to speak out about racism but he's quite happy to be an employee of an owner who resides over floggings and stoning to death. If he has a crisis of conscience, tell us about that.

Those in the country in question don't have Sterling's luxury of being able to speak out or if they do they face torture and life imprisonment. Women are discriminated against by law and further laws permit domestic violence. Husbands may chastise their wives and minor children provided they leave no physical marks. Two men holding hands in public, as one example face 14 years in prison. The list of human rights violations goes on. So no I don't care how much they spend but I do care that these type of owners are allowed to buy into the game. The FA should be ashamed of itself.

On the face of it , Man City are blatantly disregarding FFP but you cannot fault them for performing on the pitch. Even when they were scrapping past Burnley and Leicester in the final games(highlighting these since they did in fact struggle and were fortunate), they beat what was in front of them .

They are not totally invincible and if Refs were wiser to the snide fouls, things may have looked a little different with results. Here to next season with VAR and Refs being clued in.

I thought it would be the new Ryan Giggs, but Daniel James would have to hump his brother's wife first.

Out of all the clubs the first female manager could go, I think Chelsea would be last pick! No way the players would respect her, they don't respect well established multi-trophy winning Male names ffs
