no mate.... you have signed the next Gareth bale not the current one so well done for your foresight there. snatched him from under Leeds noses as well...
Chelsea appoint Peter cech as sporting director. now.... this guy is a club legend and he's a nice guy and that. but what qualifies him.to be taking on that role??? surely a guy who's just done playing can't be given a job that's a leadership position over a wide organisation.. best of luck to him
If you want to believe that, it's up to you. We've not signed the next anyone. Never subscribed to that sort of bollox and never will. He seems like a decent, young prospect who's performed well above the division according to his previous manager, those who watch him week in week out and and his national team manager.
You have gone from signing Champions League standard players to Championship standard players. I give the Norwegian paperboy one season...Autumn. He'll be replaced by the Fat Walrus or Fat-head Bruce to keep United up.
Well at least we've established your footballing knowledge from that statement. That's not how it works fella, you should count the number of players that were "Champions League standard" we signed at the time that went on to play in each of our last 3 CL finals. Or yours for that matter. Not every signing is a ready made world beater and nor should they be. Unfortunately the mistake we've been making over the last 5/6 years, so I'm glad for the change in approach I'll leave you to your Scotland playing English football.
Well you've gone from signinh, Juventus, Arsenal, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid players to ****ing Swansea players. Then what do you expect with a manager that whose managerial CV reads relegating Cardiff and the Norwegian league. Sorry the Norwegian League is below amateur. It's of a lower standard than ****ing League of Ireland. This is the same idiot that thought buying an over the hill Danny Gabbidon for Cardiff was a good idea. The fact us, the ugly faced assassin is out of his depth. You thought things were bad under Dithering Dave .They are going to be far worse under Forrest Gump. It's gping to be like the 70s under Wilf the weakling and Plank O' Farrell.
I didn't comment on OGS, just on buying players. I honestly don't know how he'll do. You could be right and he might flop by xmas. He had a good first 13 games and then things fell apart with the last 8 or so. I could say injuries came at the wrong time and a lot at once and killed the momentum. Or that the fckwits in charge gave him a permanent contract for no reason when they should've waited until the end of the season. Or a toxic cocktail of a) prima donna players who don't give a ****, and b) players who are not good enough, created a terrible mindset in the dressing room and on the pitch. But from those first 15 games he did something right and maybe with the right players he will succeed. Just out of interest where was Shankly before Liverpool?
tbh.... you were doing fine when he was picking fit fast young players in a 433 with 2 no 6s. Herrera was absolutely critical imo. Shaw was doing well. lukaku was frozen out. lingard was working hard rashford was no 9 martial was playing yada yada after Utd picked up injuries it was like solskear never got back to this basic system and he started back with forcing lukaku in. it doesn't help that unless all is well Pogba decides to be a liability not an asset. But I was astounded when I saw shaw again. my god he was a pudding. that really doesn't help. The job at Utd.... It's going to be huge. isn't Herrera gone? mctominay did ok but Utd need another player there both full back slots, a cb, serious..
https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...guide-2017-18-accounts-manchester-united-city Everton wages 77% of turnover
I think it's interesting that our wages are supposedly 2nd highest but city's are less. that's just not correct and tbh given nobody at all leaves city or moans about cash.... and city pay several people over 100k a week more than our top earner. anyway... you have to wonder what under the table now.
Spot on pretty much MITO Herrera was critical and we as a club treated him like a **** so no surprise he's left. OGS had no choice with some of his selections. McT and Fred with Pogba was sometimes the only choice. I personally think that players like Martial and Rashford are good lads, but being talented they looked around at the lazy fckers (being paid or not paid more) and just got disillusioned by it all. Running around like ****s while the likes of Pogba and Lukaku waltz around. Get players in with the right attitude and enough ability and we'll see those players getting the eye of the tiger back - I think they're desperate for it. In terms of the job ahead. We can't leapfrog everything and challenge for the league. And trying to do that would unsettle the whole squad. Has to be in stages. Next step is to bring in just enough to get Top 4. So... RB At least one CB (I'll be honest I'd bring in one quality CB like Maguire and Cahill as backup on a Free) playing alongside Lindelof. Definitely a creative midfielder WITH PACE. And at least one winger which looks to be this lad Daniel James. I think that will be enough to get Top 4 with our squad. AND YEH, send Shaw on Weightwatchers.
big job but the silver lining is the Europa might give a few younger players the exposure needed. theres two lads in particular i think will benefit from that cloud.
Greenwood and Gomes? I hope so, we need to use the Europa League to gel the newcomers and the youngsters. The squad should big enough to cope with 4 additions. Would like Wan Bissaka at RB.
And in the 3rd division before that. Just an example but the point was he wasn't at some high flying starlit club when he arrived and didn't do too badly after. All good managers start somewhere. Unless they're Pep or Zidane who get a bye into the top job straight away.
