In 1969, he was an 18-year-old shipbuilder at Wallsend , and he was one of around 10,000 United fans who made the 300-mile return journey to Glasgow.

“The noise in the ground was deafening. We were in the away end and it was a terrifying experience,” recalls Bill.

“When McFaul saved the penalty, the mood changed. We decided to leave five minutes before the end of the game, only to find some of the Newcastle coaches had their windows smashed.

“Then when we finally pulled away, Rangers fans surrounded the bus, making cut-throat gestures, and some were even waving blades around. We were relieved to get out of Glasgow.”

A 42 point deduction would have seen Rangers finish 11th in the premier league and Dunfermline still relegation in 2012. Even if the SFA took all Rangers points in 2012 it would mean Rangers being relegated into the 1st division instead of placed into the 3rd division.

    I like Wales too.

    I'll answer that for you.

No they weren't. It's the same punishment for 2 players as it is for 12. So...

Fùcking mental Tims, 7 years down the line they are still greeting like fùck about a club they say doesn't exist anymore.

    Get over it ffs.

How would relegation have stopped liquidation?

    Yes they were.

The FAW said that any club which played an ineligible player in a league fixture would be deducted three points per game and fined a maximum of £200 per instance. Player A was found to have played in 11 official matches between November 2018 and March 2019 while ineligible.

Player B was also found to have played in 11 matches - eight of which were the same as player A.

As a result, 33 points were deducted from Bangor FC's Huws Gray Alliance League record for the 2018/19 season with regards to Player A, and nine points were taken away for Player B.
