Mane by a country mile. Martial has - like most of United's big money signings - failed to live up to the hype. So inconsistent and still makes terrible decisions in the final third. We were on the brink of signing him before United swooped in with wads of cash and although I am certain Poch would've coached him into a far better player than he is now, I'm glad we went for Son instead tbh.
Mediocrity? Your idea of success with your tinpot, second rate manager is finishing above Arsenal. Arsenal are in transition whilst you're at your best and there is only a 5 point difference. The last time you lot won the league Jimmy Greaves was tee-total instead of a lush, Ken Barlow had acne and Bobby Charlton had hair. It was won in black and white. Face it, you're a nothing selling club, and no shiney new stadium is going to change that. Arsenal will rule London once again whilst you lot lick the scraps.
Couple of seasons ago perhaps but every time we've gone with 3 at the back this season it has been an unmitigated disaster. Sparing you the in-depth tactical analysis as you probably couldn't give a flying turd about our tactics but it boils down to our weakened CM since Dembele's departure and Wanyama's succumbing to injuries, combined with our RBs being utter ****e for an entire season. Danny Rose is near enough back to his best and would be effective in the WB role, but taking out an extra midfielder would allow you to overrun the centre and give your front 3 a buffet table of chances to feed off. It would also lead to whichever buffoon we start at RB (probably Trippier tbh, Aurier hasn't seen first team action in months now) getting caught out of position ever other minute. When we go with 4 at the back the FBs tend to be more disciplined and hold the line better, and we are able to press from the front with 3 AMs, with often one of Alli or Eriksen dropping deeper to support Winks and Goat when we're on the back foot. Which we will be a great deal against your front line. I think the general consensus over on our board is to go with: Hugo Whoever Toby Jan Rose Goat Winks/Dier Lucas Eriksen Alli Son With Kane on the bench. Which means Kane will of course start and treat us all to his traditional "I've been rushed back too early" interpretation of 'man running through treacle'.
sounds like what I thought too. Eriksen as a no 8 or free taking ball off back 4 i hope (cos the further form goal he is the better for us) It really is down to a kane v moura call. For me..... The first game between us this season is what i keep thinking about. You lot couldn't get our of your own half at times. Its how you play out from back and who is the two CMS. If winks is back lets see how fit he is. that for me could be your key point. for us... we are an open book. Its obvious what our team will be. its obvious how we will play. Having 3 weeks to plot might be almost too long for you... its all about work rate and who lasts the pace imo.
So what? I'm not spending my time acting entitled based on past glories though am i like a gobshhite kaant
Shame i was hoping for 3 CB's and us being 2 clear before Poch sorted it out and it and went to a back 4 and you suddenly turned back into an organised team . I live in hope though as Poch has a bit of a history for slightly weird decisions in big games - Son at LWB iirc.
Ffs last season we was in cl final, season before europa final. Well done on getting to the final but ffs come on!!
...Whereas we keep thinking back to our meeting at Anfield where we did similar to you until gifting you a last-minute winner. Both games this season were strange affairs. You should've won 5-1 at Wembley and we probably should've won narrowly at Anfield yet neither result happened. I think you're right though few teams have worked as hard or as determinedly as Spurs and Pool over the past few seasons. This could well boil down to who wants it more.
Wtf you talkin about? So what if you did? Ohh i get it now...no wonder you think it'll be a walk in the park, my bad
