At the moment I'm tending toward Grenache, Pinot Noir, or Pinotage. But it changes all the time. Different grape for different moods.

Pinot Noir is nice. I try to keep to the European wine. The New world wines seem to give me a headache. Even before the hangover kicks in.

I agree. I don't get headaches from read wine at all, but I tend not to favour the new world varieties either, Pinotage being the current exception.

I'm also a fan of white wine, prosecco and champagne <laugh> I drink most kinds of alcohol. It depends who I am drinking with and where I am drinking.

I don't drink very much white at all. Outside, on a warm afternoon chilled white is excellent. But I live in Scotland. <laugh>

Fair point. I drink more white wine in the summer and visa versa in the winter. I also like a good old gin&tonic or gin&ginger. Again one for the winter than the other for the summer.

I had a 1981 Shiraz recently from brown bros, Aus. ****ing marvellous! A very nice surprise. Rioja normally though.

Anyone who likes white and /or cider has sokme kind of male hormone deficiency.

You wouldn't appreciate the slight muskness emanating from the first breath to the fruity bursts of redcurrant and acid raptures of aftertaste then?

    Red's ****ing marvellous.

Edit: And a 30 year old bottle of wine you daft ****! What's wrong with that?!
