    With the season over with just the play-offs to be decided I set about doing my bets last night and to be trueful anyone can win them, eventually I decided on ;
    Championship Aston Villa
    League 1 Charlton
    League 2 Mansfield
For the championship Villa edged it for me just by having a little bit more quality across the the whole team, where as West Brom are strong in attack but open at the back, Derby and Leeds are two of the same both good sides on their day but prone to make massive mistakes when least expected, on current form i'd say Derby will edge the semis but it doesn't matter if Leeds do, as Villa will win the final.
For the League 1 play-offs I'm going for Charlton thus guaranteeing Millwall 4-6 points next season<cheers>, although my reasons are either Portsmouth or Sunderland deserve to go up but too many games over the season has messed them both up, especially them both getting to the final of the checkatrade cup. Charlton have got lucky avoiding both of them and should see off Doncaster by winning both games at a canter and get the better of a knackered Portsmouth/Sunderland in the final.
For league 2 Mansfield have been thereabouts all season and will step up by overcoming Newport and beating the Lentil eaters in the final.
Who do you fancy and your reasons behind it?

I haven't done a playoff bet yet Stu but might still yet, I normally do a playoff bet every year even if they are normally a lottery, so we'll see. My only fancy so far is Derby to do weeds.

Villa are my fancy to go up and are without doubt the form team going in and will always have a goal threat with Abrahams if he's back from injury, along with Kodjia who's in form and finding his shooting boots and Grealish is also chipping in with goals from midfield. Derby are in much better form than weeds and will beat them over two legs, that I have no doubt but that's just as much as about Derby being in better form as is it with the weeds always ****ing up the playoffs with a worse record than us, and that's saying something lol. <ok>

Yo boys, I ain't been on the site for a couple years, came on to laugh at Leeds and OLOF, thought I'd contribute to this thread too.

I called it with my Villa mate at work before the end of the season that the Championship Play Off Final would be Derby vs Villa, with a Villa win, they just have a better squad - altho I kinda hope Derby go up just because Villa fans are so self entitled, maybe worse than Weeds! (That ****ing song they keep singing about 1982 European Cup makes me sick when half of them are probably born in the mid 80s lmao)

L1: I want Pompey, **** the trainspotters, I want Pompey. Although we start the season 6 points up automatically if Charlton get promotion.
L2: Tranmere, just coz of Sid.

    Welcome back mate. <ok>

Laughed my bollocks off at weeds on the wrong end of Championship playoff history lol!! <laugh>

League 1 - I'd rather the spotters than a long trek to the North East, but there's no guarantee that we'll go in for Lyle Taylor if spotters don't come up.

League 2 - Same here mate, I want Tranny so Sid gets more Wembley glory.

    It'll be a 6 point start lol. <laugh>

Fair comment but Lyle Taylor is as good as anyone tbf and has a good scoring albeit at the 3rd tier level, we've had far worse over the years but can't see the spotters letting him go if they come up, apparently also the spuds are sniffing Aribo and spotter fans say they won't let both leave.

One thing we do know for sure mate is that we need immediate goals to replace Greg, we haven't got time for a future promising prospect otherwise it's back to league 1 as it's Moro and Elliot up front atm with the big man confirmed staying, so god help us. <yikes> <doh>

Just taking this opportunity to blow my own trumpet a little by pointing out that I called Charlton and Villa correctly, a little unlucky with Mansfield losing in the last minute of extra time but instead of a large pay out with a treble, the double put me in profit<cheers>
