Excited and nervous in equal measures. We have won 2-1 in flags being flown on flagpoles round here. COYS
That's harsh on Moura. Winks is a risk. Hope he's sharp as well as fit, not to mention Harry. EDIT: Oh **** , just seen Tripper's name. Ah bollocks!
Right, the analysis ... 1. Trippier VERY fortunate to be starting based on recent form. Justify that selection. 2. Winks VERY bold selection by Pochettino IMHO, given his recent injury. 3. Kane On the understanding that he IS Spurs physio 90 MINS match fit. I will go ballistic if after the event I learn twas not so. 4. Moura It was either Son or him on the bench. He must have at least the final 30 mins of the 2nd half.
It only became real for me once the Spurs starting XI was named. The time has now come. < Audere est facere >
Not sure how I feel. I don’t want to be negative, but I can’t help but feel slightly anxious about our set up/team selection. I don’t think Kane will get a lot of success tonight against Van Dijk. Last time we played them, we relied on the outlet ball. Kane was doubled up on, and isolated with his back to goal. Not to mention Moura deserved to keep his place. Don’t get me wrong, it’s hard to leave Kane out, but it’s literally his first game in 53 days. Also, seeing Son and Moura both running at Liverpool’s defence would have helped keep Robertson and TAA pinned back a bit, preventing them doubling up down both flanks with Mane and Salah on Trippier and Rose. I like winks...but a second player in the XI coming back from injury? It’s a big risk. One that could be a masterstroke, or back fire massively. Trippier, well... good luck to him. If he manages not to get torn a new one, he’s had a bloody good game even if he does nothing else. Finally, BT sport have made it look like a diamond midfield. Not sure why we persist with it? Anyway, it is what it is. COYS! We’re all behind you!
The pundits and Pool player pre-match interviews give off an air of inevitability. They don’t take us seriously. Let’s hope they underestimate us and complacency becomes their achilles heel. COYS. Let’s put in a shift today. We can do this!
Poch is the manager, he's been with the squad for the last 3 weeks and has the vision, its **** or bust time and I'm with Poch COME ON YOU SPURS
They’re playing You’ll Never Walk Alone over the tannoy. Has this game been switched to feckin Anfield or something?
