they were disgusted at how we played.. every pundit and bitter ****.

spurs were way off their best to be fair to them so my commiserations to them. alli was well off.

thats the thing last year we in general played miles better than tonight yet got diddly squat. tonight we were ****e and won comfortably- If you look in the record books in 10 years time

Weird how all the pundits telling us beautiful football doesn't win trophies are now whinging today wasn't a good advert for the game

#bbcsalford have basically called this final the end of football

 

it's amazing they've no recollection of about 70% of finals in the history of the tournament being tight games

 

nice touch there give spurs a guard of honour. we know how they feel.

it's tough on them but they took a risk with Kane and it didn't work. vertonghen marked salah out of game though which was as big a risk.

It's official. Divock Origi is now a Champions League winner and scorer of best goal in a CL final.

Bit of a step up from being voted the worst striker in the French league a few years back.

We played one of the greatest PL seasons ever and they were still praying we didn't win it, so **** them we owe you nothing

 

From a neutral point of view it was not exactly riveting and neither side were great but none the less I think it was a fair enough result and one that was deserved overall for the season. Congratulations Liverpool.

 

OK lets analyse this.

Both teams were poor,

One of the worst CL finals ever, despite the pre match hype.

Allison was MOTM by a large distance

Origi is a good finisher, but does bugger all else

Ok so the game wasn't great, they usually aren't (Loads of **** coming from Ferdinand seeing as his CL win was absolute stinker against Chelsea).
Were Spurs the better team? Lots of possession maybe, but did nothing with it, didn't have any proper shots until 70mins.

Frankly in a final it doesn't matter who were better, just who won...... and we won
