I can't be bothered to go into the hows and whys of today, it's all been said on both sides everyone has an opinion. Needless to say there's fault to be apportioned pretty much everywhere, so let's just move on.

But can anyone explain to me why it is a keeper, or anyone else for that matter who has just conceded a goal is booked for timewasting for holding onto the ball, when it is their team who has to kick off to restart play?

I swear some of those goal mouth rucks where a team 2 goals down gets one back and tries to get the ball back on the centre spot, end up causing more of a delay than if they just ran back to their own half and waited for play to resume. How can the ref or FA justify booking someone on this occasion, and yet let keepers who are on a team which is winning take 45 seconds+ every goalkick.

Perfect example was Howard for Everton. 1-0 up and he took a minute everytime, moving the ball from one side of the area to the other (another stupid and pointless rule change). The moment they were 2-1 he was getting the ball back into play in 5 seconds. How is this any different from what happened today with Szcezney, and yet he gets booked for maybe a 10 second delay tops?

How often do keepers get booked for taking more than their allotted time? Practically never yet it happens every week.

You know, Szczesny's dad got in a bit of trouble for timewasting.

He punched Roberto Mancini in the face.
