Aussies,Windies and NZ to come. We can win them all,but we are better batting first IMO. Regarding Malinga, his action is different and no bowler has been under the spotlight more. Never been called for "throwing" as far as I am aware. Now watching Ladies 20-20 against Windies
He uses his action to hide the ball from the sight screen, the umpire blocks the view from the batsman
Talking of loose, WTF were Ali and Archer doing holing out to deep mid-on when there was no need whatsoever? Moeen helped gift that win to Sri Lanka - who bowled and fielded superbly, admitted.
I'm tempted to repeat the whole of my post from June 3rd, but I'll settle for just the first sentence: "Does anybody really expect England to win this competition?" There's now a real danger that this England team will suffer the same ignominious fate as their Rugby World Cup counterparts.
Gutted for Afghanistan, closest they'll probably come this tournament. Pandya bowling loose stuff to begin with gave them hope, but he tightened up remarkably. Nabi very impressive, shame he ran out of partners and they could rotate the strike better.
Two stunning matches yesterday have certainly brought this world cup to life. The mighty Indians almost humbled by Afghanistan, bless them, I so want them to win one match at this level, and an absolute nail-biter between Windies and New Zealand. I really felt for Carlos Brathwaite having done all the hard work while wickets tumbled at the other end, but to chase down almost 300 and finish just five (5) runs short..... Been watching some of this in the gym with subtitles on. Some fabulous errors, my favourite being 'both vampires have been impressive!'
13 off the 36th over, but realistically we need these 2 to somehow stick around another 5-6 overs, scoring at a hefty rate, to give Ali and the tailenders a chance to take risks. Can't see it.
That was awful. Bowled poorly with the new ball, pulled t back and then batted like traffic comes. How James "Club18-30 " Vince gets a game is beyond me. Has he even once made a significant positive difference in an International ODI? Moeem is shipping runs with the ball and simply not getting sufficient runs. It is remarkable how our much vaunted batters tumble like skittles when facing either decent bowling or a pitch with either spin or seam taking. Other than hope Roy recovers speedily I don't see where England make changes other than bring Curran in for variety and some form of batting ability and get rid of Modern. Fair to say I am somewhat irked by the clatter of the wheels falling off the England bandwagon yet again at a World Cup. Still we could just beat India and the Kiwis and stagger over the line into the semis
