Plym is off to the seaside and the news channel has dried up. What the feck are we going to talk about for the next week?

We might have a signing or two this week apparently. Or we might not. We might have a trialist or two but probably won't. That's about the crux of it so far but it's only day one.

Big away fixture at Truro tonight. Sky Sports seem to have overlooked it..........

So in Plyms absence, I'll provide a lot of old cr@p to mull over.

Someone I've never heard of on Sky has predicted the three promoted automatically will be Bradford, Salford and Scunthorpe. Play-off winners will be........ PAFC.

Argyle Life says we've signed someone today but don't know who. They are a least a serious bunch of Argyle fans although that doesn't make it true or a particularly useful piece of information. Less trustworthy sources say it's Jordan Holmes, a goalkeeper released by Premier League Bournemouth. Here's long range photographic proof some people were on the pitch earlier.

A new range of Argyle mugs is available.

Is that enough to be going on with?

I have no idea who that is- and no one has signed today , or at least if they have, I haven't been informed, which I would think is highly unlikely.

That's the cardboard cut out wall for practicing free kicks from just outside the box. Well it's what it looks like.

I see the lets not win one before Christmas tradition is continuing with the first defeat of the preseason. Loss 1 - 0 against Wotton's Truro. Bet he's as happy as a badger in the mating season.

Just thought I'd let you know lyndie just in case nobody has mentioned it. Apparently we should be signing one this week at least. So, if you see a strange face around don't be alarmed it'll be the new CB/RB/LB/WB/Striker/some position somewhere.

RUMOUR MILL THURSDAY 11 JULY (probabaly)

Plymouth Argyle are set to announce the signing of Yasin Ben El-Mhanni from Scunthorpe United on a three-year deal, according to sources close to the club

I'm waiting for the chant that goes with that.

Plymouth Argyle's Harry Hodges is about to sign for Sheffield Wednesday on a one-year deal, according to sources close to the club

Mike Bähre from Barnsley is poised to move to Plymouth Argyle on a three-year deal, according to sources close to the player

Portsmouth are set to announce the signing of Niall Canavan from Plymouth Argyle on a one-year deal, according to sources close to the club

A new range of Argyle car headrest covers are available.

I'm hoping to maintain my 0% success rate today with these items shamelessly copied from entirely disreputable sources.

No Joe because I do NOT have sky and won't be getting it anytime soon. I did however listen to some of it and it seemed all over early on anyway. The final though is being televised on an open channel so everyone can watch it. That's if I can find an excuse to sit in front of the tele for most of Sunday.

I saw a snippet on Sky news about Blackburn signing Sam Gallagher although I didn't see how much for. It isn't in the July transfer section on the beeb football site yet as the deal isn't done. Not sure how anyone can know but somebody on pasoti has said £5m agreed. If true then that should mean a few quid coming our way. Would have thought 10% would be around the amount so not bad for doing nothing.

Hate to sound like a stuck record bur IF it is £5m AND 10% than we will 'only' see approx. £250K - not bad I agree, but far short of the ridiculous figures being banded about in other places (still equates to at least one player for a year though)

Interesting about Matt Macey seemingly chosen as Arsenal's third choice goalkeeper for the coming season....rather gobsmacked personally....not that good to be so near to Premiership football....seeing how he played at times for us in Div 1.

Macey won't get on the pitch for Arsenal this season is my bet.

I watched the England v Scotland netball game this afternoon for a while. Never understood any of it to be honest but we looked a whole load better than Scotland as the final score indicated. My daughter still plays netball in a local league for fun she says although she has never lost any competitive edge since she was 6. I will be watching the cricket tomorrow as they have stuck the final on a free channel. That's of course if I get a pass. I might have to go sick if I get a list of jobs.

I have a sneaky feeling we are going to have a very good player in Lalos sometime soon. Very young but as some say if you are good enough you are old enough and I can see Lowe playing anyone who shows talent to score whoever they are.

England bowling, which I gather isn't regarded as the best way to do one day cricket but it's suited them very well in this tournament,

Slower start from England after 6 overs this time though. No fireworks from Archer yet. He nearly took Carey's head off v Australia.
