I started watching the game just before they equalized <wah> Brentford streamed it on Youtube, the LB trialist looked very good and calm as did one of the central defenders. There were so many on trial i got confused who was who at times <laugh><laugh>

mowgli, you're from Somerset. Did you not pick up anything locally about the Yeovil saga? Would be interesting to know what really happened.

Not much mate, all i know is the club pulled the plug at the last minute. It was announced on our local news one night with no reason given, even my mate who is a Yeovil season ticket holder has no idea why Yeovil didn't go through with the sale of the club. If i hear anything i'll post it on here.

They probably decided it was'nt such a good idea getting involved with a National league side. When you look at Yeovil & Wycombe we are both probably the same size clubs with the same sort of football history apart from the season Yeovil spent in the championship.

It was the club that pulled out of the deal mate not the Americans.

What we don't know is why the club pulled out. Maybe the Americans wanted to impose some conditions they weren't happy with. Who knows? There must have been some reason

Bolton have cancelled their second pre season friendly with their players still being on strike it is looking doubtful that our opening league fixture against the Trotters will go ahead unless Del Boy and Rodney step in as so far they have played one friendly which they lost to York City 1-0 having to field their youth team they only have a squad of 7 first team players and with no sign of a serious buyer thing are looking bleak

Presumably/hopefully our potential owner doesn't have Bolton on his radar

We might be in debt Ron, who ever takes over Bolton will need really deep pockets

For us £100,000 can go a long way, for Bolton I don't it would go very far.

When we hit the skids a few years back nobody much gave a flying fig and we had to field almost the youth squad just to complete fixtures. Not only will they lose 12 points at the start but they will be hard pressed to get any points at least for a while. That's one less relegation spot for others to worry about. With Bury being another basket case at the minute that could easily be 2 places filled. League one this season could be a doddle for most. I find it more and more difficult to feel sorry for clubs when all this happens now. Even most of the supporters never flinched when the millions were being spent so they can hardly weep now.

Beat Wealdstone 1-0 but sounds as if it could have been more (hit post, one cleared off the line and Jason McCarthy had a penalty saved)

    FULL TIME: Wealdstone 0-1 Wycombe

The Chairboys remain unbeaten in pre-season with a win at Grosvenor Vale.
