These are quite widely spread around the fine county - I've been to 9 of them. I won't use the George in Cley any more, expensive, impersonal, ignored by staff even when quiet and a horrible little garden right by the busy road on a blind bend. I go to Artemis coffee house instead Love Morston Anchor and Wiveton Bell. https://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/news/the-aa-names-its-top-norfolk-pubs-1-6142692
M My friends who recommended the Cottage have now been back three times because they are so impressed with the food, service and price!
The Murderers is up for a national award as the best sports pub. Sorry, I can't post a link but it's on the EDP website
https://www.edp24.co.uk/business/great-british-pub-awards-the-murderers-norwich-1-6148298 Probably deserves it, though I don't go there very often - it's usually packed unless you get there VERY early and I paid £4.20 for a pint that cost me £3.80 in teh Fat Cat!!!
Had a load of MoonGazer Beers I hadn't seen before at the Coop in Long Stratton. I bought: Jigfoot, Nibbler & Jumper. All 3 were really good beers!
Really into Vacation Brewery beers at the moment. Other than their "Blueberry pancake" type beer, which I didn't like. All the other ones I've tried have been gorgeous.
I'm in Long Stratton on Sunday, so MIGHT have to wander down to the Coop. Brue the senior brewer at Norfolk Brewhouse sits behind me in the River End Lower. I'm a big fan of both Lacons' and NB Beers!!
I adore the Lacons beers. Was told for the wedding I could pick a guest ale. Lacons was one of the front runners. Warning about the Long Stratton Coop. They are re-vamping the whole place. Was really hard to find the Beer. Part building site, part mess.
Out at Brancaster Staithe to see an artist we might book for a wedding. White Horse. What a beautiful place. Got a pint of “Lucky Lobster” from their Brancaster Brewery. Love it. 10/10 banger! They also have Ghost Ship and Neckoil on tap. Got a couple of other Brancaster Brewery ales on Tap. Might be able to try 1 or 2 more of them.
