    By the sounds of it all that's left to expect is Andy Carroll. Apparently he's desperate to rejoin his boyhood club. Definitely NOT desperate to get paid to sit around injured, definitely not.

    I hope we don't waste money on Carroll. I'd take him on a pay as you play, but anything else is madness, the lads ****ed. Don't get me wrong, if he was fit and able to play a significant part I'd be saying get him in, he is unplayable at his best. We haven't seen that bar the odd game for over 5 years.

    I'm not convinced this isn't just Sky Sports peddling their usual deadline day bull. I don't think Carroll will be signing for anyone until September/October when he's supposedly going to be fit.
