I don't remember him being injured much over his career unlike your Matthews' but it depends how he is after doing his Achilles in.
Now that the PL and CH windows have shut I think we might get involved again. Loads of players will have been pushed down the pecking order or youngsters looking for loans and we should in theory be right at the top of the food chain to mop these players up.
Sunderland confirm they won't be signing former Burnley forward after unsuccessful trial Tinashe Chakwana had been linked with a move to the Black Cats but has been released following an unsuccessful trial.
Berahino might be worth a 1 year deal. He’s had a rough time since leaving WBA but was a great player for them and he’s still only 26. If he could get going again I think he could score quiet a few in league 1.
He's off to a Belgian team I think. Not the kind of attitude I want at my club. Caught drink driving 3 times apparently
Wouldn't touch Berahino with a barge pole, never seemed to have his football head on. A wasted talent.
Yep - and it all went to his head and he thought he was better than he is! Always thought he was overrated
Agreed. I’m sure he scored 12 to the Xmas and finished on about 15 and never repeated it again. Add in the well documented off field **** and it’s a definite no. He wouldn’t have taken League One wages anyway I doubt. Actually, that’s probably what he be getting in Belgium.
Donald told Roker Report: “We’re talking about strengthening the team with two or three more signings before the window shuts. "A couple of players on the desk are probably going to cost us half a million pounds if we decide they are the ones to go for.” The Sunderland owner added: “We’re not far away on one and that one may extend to three but it might end up being two. “If you asked me now, I would hope we will sign a couple of players next week but I would certainly expect there to be one. They’re defensive players.”
A RB and a LB are needed because without playing people out of position we've only got one of each unless I'm forgetting about someone. If he means that they're going to cost half a mil each then they should be pretty good for league one, I wouldn't complain if they were because I'm not convinced about McLaughlin or Hume yet.
Hume should be second choice. Someone to learn from would be good. I don't like o9 as our right back. He does okay there but not natural. No idea who we could target
