Wigan Athletic v Leeds Utd Saturday 17th August 2019 3.00pm | DW Stadium Leeds will be hoping to get back to winning ways following in the league their disappointing 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest last weekend at Elland Road. Though a Cup win against Salford was expected midweek, few predicted how dominant the Whites would be! Four days after dispatching the football football League's newest club, Leeds will be in action against neighbouring Wigan. Bielsa has no new injury concerns, but faces selection dilemma's after watching his young fledglings take Salford apart? Will the gaffer partner Nketiah and Bamford together? Could Douglas make way for Alioski? Is Shackleton too good to be a bench warmer? Anyone feeling a bit sorry for Bogusz? Berardi or Cooper at Centre back? Anyone think Clarke deserves to start? What about Costa? Will Leeds have any regrets about selling Pearce. He'll have a point to prove at the weekend?
I think the starting 11 will be unchanged, I think only Bamford is nearing being dropped at the moment. Although I would like to see Costa start I'd have to ask in place of who? Pablo, Forshaw and Klich have been playing well. Douglas is still better than Alioski on this seasons showing so far and like someone else pointed out, I think Davis might have jumped ahead of Alioski now
I think he’ll start, but he’ll be conscious that he needs to score early or be hooked after an hour. I fancy him to step up and deliver now, and hopefully he and Nketiah will be pushing each other on all year. No room for passengers now.

I would definitely play Costa, don’t think we need both Forshaw and KP against Wigan. I’d be heavily tempted to play Nketiah ahead of Bamford, harsh though might seem. They both bring something to the team I think we’ve needed for sometime and that’s pace.
Will the gaffer partner Nketiah and Bamford together? I doubt it Could Douglas make way for Alioski? Douglas will play, Alioski not at the races. Davis is a better defender than both Is Shackleton too good to be a bench warmer? Would give us more pace down the middle Anyone feeling a bit sorry for Bogusz? No as he is probably down the pecking order right now, his chance will come Berardi or Cooper at Centre back? Cooper & White are definite starters for me Anyone think Clarke deserves to start? What about Costa? A case for Costa.....Clarke no! Will Leeds have any regrets about selling Pearce. He'll have a point to prove at the weekend? I like Pearce but we supposedly have four or five players who can play in that position so I doubt Tom would have been considered in the first-team squad
Reckon Costa starts and Pablo moves to 10 and we should see Harrison, Costa and Pablo interchanging at times. Bogusz is only 17 and learning his trade by already being a first team benchwarmer. He will play a big part this season and will replace Klich/Forshaw/Pablo when required.
Pretty much agree. Can't offer a solid argument to counter any of your points. Add that to that the fact that Bielsa rarely changes his team, and it looks odds-on to me that there will be no changes from last Saturday ..... unless ..... Wigan play 2 up or he expects them to play 2 up, in which case he'll almost certainly play 3 at the back, and I don't think it'll be a case of KP dropping back to CB. I think Berra or less likely Davis would start, with someone in midfield dropping out. Who would you drop in that case? Glad it's not my decision!
Same team as last week according to press conference today. Bielsa said a fan letter had told him not to name the team early. So he's not naming it, but between me and you he said to the press, same team lol
Does he not realise he's just killed 48 hours debate here on other forums re the shape of tomorrows team. Very inconsiderate of him
Pretty much a rinse and repeat game for Leeds. If we are clinical enough then it is a comfortable win. If we miss our chances then we could easily come away with nothing. Just hope we can put the ball in the net. It would also be nice to get on the right side of some 50/50 calls from the officials. You need a bit of that to get out of this division.
When he says same team as last week I sincerely hope that doesn’t mean that the French loanee is on the bench and Eddie not in the match day squad.
