According to Posta, Fenerbahce are keen to sign Hull City midfielder Markus Henriksen before the close of the Turkish transfer window on August 31st. According to the Turkish newspaper, Fenerbahce have already offered €3m for Henriksen, but Hull City are demanding at least €5m for the midfielder.
I'm sure someone on here said Terry said he won't play him, as he doesn't want to play? Summat like that anyway.
Probs a mixture of us nit wanting to play him so he doesn't get injured and him not wanting to play for the same reason
Henriksen's currently at Humberside Airport and has just been chatting with a City fan, he said he was more than happy to play, but the club are being funny with him and won't let him.
"He and his agent need to keep working because it’s the right thing for him. He wants to move. His family hasn’t moved over, they’re still in Norway so he’s obviously unsettled. I think everyone would be pleased for Markus to find a new club so he can go and set up somewhere else." That's what he said, but it's just his opinion, he doesn't actually know Henriksen, I think he was told as soon as he arrived, to forget him as he was being sold.
Ehab took the gamble to extend Henriksen's contract on PL wages so that he could prevent him from leaving on a Bosman free and get a fee for him. Ehab's gamble may not pay off as much as he hoped, as the European teams are low-balling us as they realise that Ehab doesn't want to be stuck paying £25K per week for another year for Henriksen. McCann did play Henriksen for the 1st half against Amiens, so he must have worked with him.
This seemed likely all along. Probably a good way for the club to do it financially. A bit ****ty on the player using him as a pawn like this, but then he did agree to the extra year in the club's favour so he can't complain too much. It was the same with Grosicki last year when he was training with the kids and completely shunned until the window closed. We obviously wanted him off the books.
According to YP we were 9th in the table of net spending as of now with £400K spent. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...-summer-total-is-125m-profit-1-9935701?page=3
£400k spent then add back £9 mill from Harry, £1 mill from Dan James, £2-3 mill from Henrikson (when he inevitably goes). Not a bad window for the owners (and hopefully for the (alleged) 'debt' reduction).
i've lost track of wherever discussion of maguire's latest transfer is, but an article just out claims he turned down a weekly salary of £278k at man city to join man utd, where he's on £180k. that's £5m per year difference. i'd rather play for man utd than man city too, though they've taken a long time asking.
