I see that 'Arry has predicted that Wet Sham will "heap more misery on Norwich City!"

I've not felt any misery so far, have you?

According to the BBC's Live Football, we have had further bad news: "goalkeeper Timm Farke" has suffered what appears to be the self same injury as the eponymous Timm Klose. Who said lightning doesn't strike twice? I guess the best we can hope for is that the next storm demolishes the utterly hopeless BBC.

Edit: now corrected. Wonder who sorted them out.

Hanley out is a blow, hopefully available for the games after the international break though.

Hopefully Zimmerman isn't far off fully fit! Could be a blessing in disguise if it means Zimmerman can step back in right away without worrying about forcing Hanley out. Amadou as our only CB cover when 90 minutes will be an effort for Zimbo is a concern.

Trying to work out the possible line-up and subs:

    Krul
    Aarons Zimmerman Godfrey Lewis
    Trybull Leitner
    Buendia Stiepermann Cantwell
    Pukki

Subs: Fährmann, Byram, Heise, Amadou, McLean, Roberts, Drmic

It could depend on whether DF sees Amadou or Lewis as the best cover at CB. If Lewis, then Heise will be needed as cover at LB. If Amadou, then Tettey could be on the bench as a DM option in place of Heise as Lewis would stay at LB.

Another option for replacing Lewis would be to shift Aarons over to LB and introduce Byram at RB. This too would allow Tettey to replace Heise on the bench. But I suspect that Amadou's performance the other night will have given him the edge over Lewis as back-up CB.

Looked like Heise was good vs Crawley. Imagine he would get the nod if Lewis moved into CB?

    LAWRO'S PREDICTION
My great worry about Norwich is defensively, they have conceded eight goals. You get so heavily punished in this league.

    Prediction: 2-0
    West Ham are -3 gd,we are -2gd.
    Sound reasoning by Lawro again

Can we keep a record of all the Lawro's Norwich predictions to see if he predicts us to win once over the whole season?

I never read his "BBC FOOTBALL EXPERT" opinions or predictions as he clearly dislikes us for not spending gazillions. Likewise, I never look to see who made Garth Crooks 'team of the week' - He and Lawrenson are so heavily biased about modern day football (the equivalents of Geoffrey bloody Boycott - "Of course, when I used to play that shot ) 30+ years ago!! <grr>)
I resent having to pay a licence fee full stop but for the BBC to squander large amounts of it on these two muppets makes me bristle with rage. :emoticon-0146-punch :emoticon-0181-fubar

Saw both Crooks and Lawrenson play back in the day. Can’t ever recall them being exceptionally gifted and neither would have made the “team of the decade” so not sure why they are described as “experts”.

In fairness Lawro was half decent, but Crooks was very average.

Fair enough BB - make a Lawrenson a half decent expert then.

Lawrenson was arrogant as a player as well. It was brilliant when we beat Liverpoo at Anfield after a Lawrenson own goal very similar to Hanley's. He declined to be interviewed on MotD!

If I recall correctly, we had a ‘Lawro, what a plonker thread’ donkeys years ago, when this forum was on the Beeb website..
