Ross out Those fans on twitter who wanted him sacked are quiet this week. I mean, to play 9 games (including one against a premier league side) and lose 1, draw 2 and win 6... disgraceful
Mate he's still getting pelters. Some of our fans are embarrassing, thankfully it seems its just the twitter idiots and monty
I'm happy with the results this season but conceding first is bothering me a bit. The best teams have quality but also graft for the 90 and press from kick off, we've got the quality but we don't press enough for me. We need to start games chasing everything down and putting in much higher energy performances. If we do go up we'll have better players thanks to the Dell Boys but I fancy we'll have the same problem if Ross doesn't cotton onto it.
There were a whole bunch of us predicting 3-1, so I hope I wasn’t the only one who backed it at 9/1 on SkyBet, and as such we’ve all had a swell evening.....
loads of teams slipped up, wide open this division look at Lincoln won the first 3 lost 4 out of 5 ! Blackpool similar, grigg though christ i could have scored from there. we need Toney and Maddison in january Jack when you get the money off the new owners please.
Completely agree about conceding first. But I remember a time when we seemed to go 2 full seasons without coming from behind to win!!! Small mercies and all.
The team is improving and going along the right lines but I am not sure judging on what we have seen so far that its good enough to nail a top two spot and that is what is required. The proposed take over if it goes through, will or should give us the clout, to get us up this season, hopefully with Ross in charge, but if we have not identified and corrected the problems still apparent, (and highlighted on this thread), changes will have to be made sooner or later.
Aye there's a lot to like about this team and it's great to be winning again. I'm just not sure what's going wrong between the dressing room, the tunnel and the pitch to make them switch off most games. I think Ross is as confused as anyone why it's happening but it's up to him to fix it.
I think yesterday's team was arguably our best 11 at the moment. I am now warming to the fact that we are better than every other team in that league. Peterborough look very strong up front though.
My own point of view is that we had to be 10-15 games in before judging how the team was performing. Atm we are not too bad... I also have a sneaking suspicion that it is better to keep you best form for the last 10-15 games rather than the 1st 15. We also have to watch this fixture build up..we do not want too many games at the end of the season... frankly sod the cups..use those games to give the young'uns and injury returnees a game.. Wyke, Mcgeady, Maguire etc should not play
Portsmouth were smart yesterday, using the free week for the cancelled Bury game to play an EFL trophy game. We should take note.
