If anyone here likes winter holidays, Bansko in Bulgaria is rather cool. Spent a week there in early September, so it was out of season, but still a great place to relax, hike and enjoy the spas in the hotels that are there. The cost is about half when compared with other EU countries like Spain, France, and the UK. One of the great strengths of Bulgaria are the salads which are tremendous. They are the best I have ever had. The local wine was very good as well, and some locals can speak English. Overall, an under-rated place and well worth a visit. PS: The price of property is really cheap!!
One of my Serbian buddies was wearing a T-shirt that said "to boldly go". I asked if he knew what it meant. It's from Star Trek but I don't really get it. Maybe it's about Captain Picard, he hasn't got any hair! close
well I would if I understood that myself! (I shouldn't say that really, as co-owner of an English Language School!) mind you I mainly just buy paper for the photocopier
We went to Bansko in February as a taster for skiing. We loved it, the slopes were great for beginners but seemed to have enough for experienced skiers to. And skiing home down the mountain road was fantastic fun!
Another thought of the day: Chinese cars. They are about to invade the world because they are more advanced, built every bit as well, and for cheaper. And the first entirely Chinese one [I don't include MG Cars] has just won EU type approval. It's called the U5 [you-five, not US for those on tiny screens] and it comes from a company called Always [hey, even LG is short for Lucky Goldstar]. Here's some pics. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image The Chinese aren't messing around. And these companies have no old ICE industry to protect. That's why they're not dragging their feet. It's another smell the coffee moment.
It’s our wedding anniversary today. My wife and I have been happily married for two years now. 1995 and 2009.
If you are going anywhere near a beach in Mallorca for a late holiday, beware one of two dogs I am partly responsible for. Oscar is a thief!!! He will go to bags and baskets containing food and steal it. The other day he took a whole packet of unopened biscuits and demolished the lot from someone´s backpack. He is like an overgrown daschund, black and tan in colour with a white chest. You have been warned. Protect your picnics!!
This looks a very good car. What sector of the market are they trying to capture with this car? If they are relatively cheap they will gradually replace the big companies in the Far East and Russia and make inroads elsewhere. All they need to get is a spot in a film with their products.
Not every day your company has something good in a national paper: https://www.theguardian.com/product...tle-redesign-cut-3500-tonnes-of-plastic-waste
At the moment I don't have that info Ides. But the MG ZS is pretty much the cheapest all-electric SUV out there at £21K + change. Just like MG, they will come along and free-fit a free quick charger to your home, if you have the facility to home charge. My gut feeling is that this one is aimed at the £35K + change market, because it is rather advanced. A bit like another Chinese car-maker, the Byton Concept [which is an actual model, not a concept car] is aimed at the same market area of £35K plus: https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/byton/suv/102301/byton-concept-electric-suv-ride-review Throw away all that you may have learned in the past about the Chinese and any lower standards of technology and manufacture. These people know which end is up. Personally, if they decide to go all out in Europe and America, the Chinese could end up making and selling the most cars anywhere. They are ahead of the traditional Americans and most Europeans. The only company who is a few years ahead of them is Tesla. Which is why they exclusively allowed Tesla the funds and workforce to build a wholly owned factory in Shanghai. They want some of Tesla's better technology, of that I am fairly sure.
