It's strange, but we sometimes play our best football when up against adversity. I was really worried about ManCity when the 8 injuries were announced. Now it's similar against Palace...
Scenario... McGovern starts and in solidarity with his GK buddies gets injured during the game. Will we have an academy back up on the bench or does one of our outfield players then need to do it? I saw Fleck go in goal once and played a blinder tho that was probably a testimonial thinking back.
Scenario 2. McGovern starts and plays incredibly well. He's undroppable and keeps both Krul and Ferryman out for the rest of the season.
More likely scenario is that Fährmann will start with McGovern on the bench. It's a chance for Fährmann to show what he can do and fight for the shirt. This is also true of other players coming in because of injuries; a kind of enforced rotation in the long term view of things.
Is Heise injured? Find it strange that we put 3 strikers on the bench when we could have him as an option down the left
These are hard choices, but Aarons displacing Byram seems very hard on Sam, who has worked his socks off in recent games.
Hanley had a good rating of 7.2 from WhoScored in his last two games, so it does seem odd. There may be tactical reasons for playing McLean at DM though.
Any English rivers out there? Yes - got one http://myfeed2all.eu/watch/748334/3/watch-crystal-palace-vs-norwich-city-.html
That's a real gift to Palace, who can now control the game with momentum going their way and Fährmann off injured. Down to our last keeper now.
