Did Chelsea need to pay another 50 million to get his left foot aswell? What a shocker that is!

I guess I'm worth millions of pounds, as I could have finished that....

Actually feel sorry for Torres. Not that he deserves my pity.

Liverpool, what did you do to one of Europes best strikers??

I don't feel sorry for him. He chose a club that has proven to be the graveyard of strikers that were in their prime prior to moving to Chelsea. He joins such illustrious names as Shevchenko, Crespo, Mutu, Kezman and Sutton to name a few. Should have gone to Italy or Spain instead

Forgive him, for he knoweth not what he dideth. He merely chose a club he falsely believed would bring him success. Suarez is the next victim.

He is a good striker and will score more than he misses

Carroll never had, or never will have the quality Torres has.

It's all about confidence, I'm pretty sure Torres will be brilliant again. Look at his goal today.

Torres will be back to the kind of form that put him up there as one of the best in the world. Hate to say it, but it's true. <ok>

Not sure if he is worth £50m but realistically, you have to pay over the odds for talent, especially when the selling club doesn't have to sell.

Lovely finish for his goal as well.

This. Although that said, this still goes down as a massive choke in my book. His first finish was quality, but that was when they were 3-0 down and the comeback looked unlikely. If he'd scored the second that would have been a crucial goal and would have put the whole game back on. Was that at the back of his mind, making him tense up and causing him to put it wide? He scuffed a chance in the first half when 1-0 down, and that was also the sort of chance he would have taken a couple of years ago. Still looks mentally weak when the pressure is on...

They say that that miss could undo all the work he put in before that. I think a lot of it can be seen in his body language, he did still seem up for it right until the end so I don't think it will affect him too much.

The miss was horrible, it wasn't as if he made a bad contact either, he hit it sweet enough but just took his eye off it. In the context of the game though, it was a huge miss.
