nope just done via cameras in PL though there is another system (Adidas rings a bell but may be making that up ) used in some countries which uses/used a chip in the ball .
I think this all misses the point - even if you have NASA technology for identifying a galaxy 30 billion light years away, if the operator in charge is biased/bent/incompetent enough to simply and blatantly redraw the lines like they did with Bobby, then the system is only as good as the person using it: in the case of Martin Atkinson, that is not very good at all.
Agreed. If they are going to stick with it I think they need to have people trained up to use it who are neither referees nor have any allegiance to any club. They are taught the rules of football and how to use the technology. Either that or have an international referee exchange program to ensure impartiality. It's far easier to accept wrong decisions being made in real time than wrong decisions being made with sophisticated equipment specifically designed to eradicate wrong decisions!
@Jimmy Squarefoot will be furiously masterbating over this injury news Seriously though, I wish Gomes al the best in his recovery. No player deserves that. No player!
Liverpool have moved to number one in the Euro Club Index for the first time please log in to view this image https://www.givemesport.com/1518731...one-in-the-euro-club-index-for-the-first-time
We don’t know who we’ll face the the World Club Cup yet do we? What are the chances that Klopp will play a blended team in each match? Would love to win them both
Want to win them both now This **** just got personal this has never happened to another club at the top level of any nation (I think) lol
Nope keep playing the kids if we get through So far the company has not stretched our squad let’s keep it that way I would like to propose that it will actually help our assault on title if we get any injuries as season goes on, which is likely the kids coming in will be a bit sharper and a bit more battle hardened
Tottenham forward Son Heung-min red card for tackle on Andre Gomes overturned https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50309594
Is that the same index that showed Arsenal as number 10 in Europe at the moment? It's great, and I think we are definitely up there... ... But if Arsenal are tenth in their current form, it does have some credibility issues.
VAR working fine tonight in CL Strange that Even the game with the English refs Been two very quick checks that have yielded correct decisions Weird innit
Now I don’t believe that Son should have been sent off. but I don’t understand how you can overturn a red card on appeal these days. Basically what they’re saying is that despite having another referee who is away from the heated atmosphere and has multiple angles and replays to look at, they still got it wrong, to back up another ref on field who got it wrong. puts var firmly in spotlight yet again that something can go through 2 referees and numerous replays and still be wrong.
Yep totally agree That is exactly the sort of thing VAR is supposed to be able to sort Plenty of time to review it Game stopped for 6 mins ffs It has totally blown apart how the English refs are using VAR imho Nothing will happen though
