I thought Da Silva and Stewart were both decent yesterday. We looked worse when Stewart was replaced by Honeyman.
I think he's been pushing them to do things differently, rather than actually coming up with all the things we've actually done recently, though he was apparently instrumental in getting the Allams to come back.
Second lowest gate in the division again. No idea how honest other clubs are in declaring their attendances.
except the ref* obviously got my memo because he didn’t blow his whistle before and after the silence on Saturday and it was the best observed remembrance we’ve had in a couple of years. *It’s about the only thing he got right the entire match.
The thing is no other club has had the problems we have had over the last few years so it's deffinatly more difficult for us. Recent crowds with the offers have been encouraging but still a long way to go. Think it will be a long road with or without new owners but hopefully with more encouraging offers and improving displays from the team then steadily it will rise. There is a lot of people still interested but getting them back will take a lot of hard work.
Interesting that Bilic was aware ot this blatant weakness and had practised overcoming it. Seems so odd that we should persist. Presumably all other coaches have spotted it as well
I think that just go to show Nigel's character, he's a very likeable chap, but a bit of a yes man, he very much played Ehab's tune to a large degree. McCann seems different, likeable but determined to get his own way.
I think that's very harsh. Getting your own way with Ehab is easier said than done I'm sure. The crucial difference of course is that Adkins worked for Ehab before his realisation that the money had run out.
That's true, and maybe I was being a bit harsh, I said myself in a previous post that this was all about money, and McCann was just fortunate to hit the timing right, but I still feel he is more forceful than Nigel, but not knowing either of them of cause I could be completely wrong.
I certainly think McCann deserves a lot of credit. I just don't think Adkins should be brought into it.
Why not? McCann seems to be having an impact in those areas whereas Nigel didn’t or didn’t try. It’s not a criticism. It’s just how it is.
It really is just about character, we are all different, and just feel Nigel is a bit more likely to toe the line than Grant is.
I still think some are reading in between the lines too much. I'm sure all the managers hoped the Allams stopped been ****s to the fans. At the end of the day the Allams hold the purse strings, also noticeable is some new staff on board in the marketing and social media departments. In short I just can't see the manager going to Ehab and saying we need to do A B and C and Ehab says yeh your right.
