Good Morning. It's Tuesday 19th November, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Leeds U23's back to winning ways Leeds U23s shrugged off their Derby County knightmare as Carlos Corberan's youngsters recorded a well deserved victory over fellow Yorkshire rivals Bansley. A goal in each half from Ryan Edmondson and Jordan Stevens was enough to give the Whites three valuable points, and more importantly touching distance of Wigan, Hull, Barnsley and Crewe. With Leeds having at least two games in hand over three out of the four mentioned clubs, theoretically could draw level with pacesetters Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest on 21 points. Goal difference, with the seven conceded against the Rams would mean they would have to settle for third place. Senior trio Hernandez, Berardi and Douglas all played 45 minutes without any recurrence of injury. please log in to view this image ESPN - Talks between Radrizzani and PSG Al-Khelaifi advance American based Sports magnate ESPN are claiming that talks between Andrea Radrizzani and PSG owner Nasser al-Khelaifi have taken a significant step forward, although a take over is still a long way off. More talks are planned in the days to come, and while sources say there won't be a full agreement soon they say things are moving in a positive direction. A few reasons can explain the delay over the takeover, like the uncertainty over Brexit, the current difficult situation at beIN Sport and for Qatar diplomatically in general. please log in to view this image Roofe on fire Kemar Roofe has netted 5 times in 7 games for Belgian First Division A club Anderlecht. Morning all, I’m surprised Coyle wasn’t able to find a better move myself. Many of us have always said Rads is our stepping stone to the big money investors, just the fact they are sniffing around is great news. The days of wondering why we only attracted the likes of GFH and Cellino are now behind us. U23s is a mixed bag at the moment, it was a strong looking team and when you have to ensure some players are subbed after 45 minutes it’s got to disrupt plans. Roofe - We guessed we’d miss him, we then thought we’d hit the jackpot with Nketiah, always a twist and turn
Morning all. The Derby game was in the cup. But we'd still need to overcome a goal difference of +7 to take top spot. Not inconceivable in the U23 league.
Good Morning to Mat Rik and co from a very frosty Bardsey I went with Moe to the best fish restaurant on the planet and it was as good and as busy as ever Coyle I wish all the very best and Roofe seems to be doing well but how good is this league I wonder Randy Andy did anyone one believe him?I think he should be made to take a lie detector test I bet he would refuse it! The Queen asked him how he found Emily Mathis and he said whose Emily I have never seen her!Well that's the story going round anyway Sheff Wed will know their fate reFPP and Monk finds himself in the middle but one thing is certain they will have to offload big money players such as Forestierie Rhodes Fletcher etc so the future looks bleak to say the least Gary will not be buying his way out of trouble hewill have to do it the hard way so no sharing large commissions with his mate Oh Dear
Morning all Roofe is a decent player but lets face it the Belgium top flight is our League 1 standard. Pleased its working out for him though and hope he carries on scoring. Had a look at some of the other players we offloaded in the Summer: Anita is still trying to find a club as a free agent BPF is still holding down his No3 keeper berth behind Pope and Hart Pearce still hasn't started for Wigan first team? This was an England U21 starter who has completely vanished as some kids do. O'Connor is having a stormer for BCFC and is in line for player of the season, they love him. Ekuban started well with a hat trick in the Europa league but got injured and struggling to get back Ideguchi doing what he does best and has played every minute of every game for his club Gamba Osaka Halme is starting to live up to the hype but in a poor Barnsley side and he has scored a couple of goals too Coyle is an unlucky lad as he has been out on loan for 2 full seasons and is the fans idol and won player of the year both seasons. Doing the same again this season but is out of contract in the Summer so will be sold in January. If only Heckingbottom had brought him back who knows what would have happened under Bielsa. Saiz has hardly been picked for the first team and is now playing at Spains second tier. What a waste
Eric the players mentioned are players who have left the club except for Coyle who has left in all but name. Grot, Cibicki are on loan as is LDB but he too will be gone in January along with Bouy and O'Kane I guess
Grot is playing a lot of games but got into a training ground bust up which caused some issues at the club. Still a bad atmosphere as Jay Roy wanted to rip the guys head off?
Vitesse are 5th in the Dutch league after 13 games. Grot has started 9 of those games and appeared as a sub in the remaining 4. Although it has to be said his average time on the pitch per game is 54 minutes. He's got 1 goal and 1 assist so far, averages just under 2 shots per game, and pass completion rate of 75%
have a feeling he is part of the succession team if we dont go up this season and will be taking his coaching badges for a role under Bielsa if we go up.
I'm happy with it too - he'll be a bit part player whatever league we're in next 2 years, a good influence on the young lads and a source of inspiration for all. Having him about to develop as a coach might be seen as a seriously good piece of business in a few years too, and he deserves the opportunity to learn from the best. Very pleased all round.
Could be... still feels like it’s a year too long though for me. Every time I see a new contract (except the kp one) I have the same naughty thought about orta having a bank account in the British Virgin Islands. I’m sure the more plausible explanation is that he knows the business far better than I, but every deal seems 1 - 1.5 years too long for me.
