I questioned that decision at the time. But you know what, despite the fact that we did end up dropping two points, I actually think Ralph's decision there worked. We can't defend, so the best way of winning that game was to make it 3-1 rather than hold onto 2-1. And with the chances we created - which included Boufal - we should have made it 3-1. Ralph gave us the tools to win that game, it's not his fault we duly failed to score just one of those chances.
I'm absolutely feeding off the anger on here right now. Give me more, give in to your wrath fellow Saints fans!
We weren't subbing someone on that'd play LB, and we had several chances to win it before they equalized. It's not Ralph's fault that we are constitutionally incapable of defending, and no sub was changing that.
Common we've been hopeless most of the season. Would have bitten anyone's arm off if you offered a point away at Arsenal before the game. .It is **** conceding at the death but a good performance is a good performance and an away point is an away point.
If you read my first post I am on about the whole season. Also if you read my first post I said you have to take your chances with a bad defence and we didn't. You can criticise things as well as saying we played well. Too many people like to go crazy and not see the positives/negatives in a game.
Won't feel like a good point if we lose our next game. It will feel even more of a massive two points dropped. That's what concerns me.
Of course, but a general upturn in form is to be applauded and encouraged. The toolbox ain’t great, but we are perhaps gradually finding a way.
The best thing about today is that we went there to win. From the first minute I could see the intent to get on the front foot. We just need to play like that at home.
We gave Poch the points, and he got sacked. We gifted Silva the points, and he's getting canned later, and now we have given Em's an early Xmas present.................and he's getting time off as well! What happened to us being awful to play against, does anyone remember that speech pre-season?
That goal was a gut punch. I am really trying not to care this season but... what is it that kills you?
Just add Brexit into the mix & Twitter then you have pure anger that grows in modern day Trunpist/Johnson society.
How many games is it now where we have been in the lead and then either drawn or lost? You can’t take anything away from the lads though they played their hearts out seemingly.
