Energy, hunger, bodies on the line , not fannying about in defence and getting mugged off, clinical finishing, heart, desire, good use of subs, great goalkeeper again.

    9/10 display.

One of the best performances I have witnessed away from home.

According to the team sheet you posted Tettey was Captain. Godfrey was much better this week with a proper CB alongside him.

Tettey was captain and played his part like a nightclub doorman on a boozy Friday night breaking up play and passing sideways to Argos and Mad Dog.

    He was excellent

One win and our season's back on. But your right we didn't suddenly become a bad team just cause we lost a few games. A loss next week and no doubt the "we're all doomed brigade will reappear". Seam to remember we struggled a bit at the start of last season, but ended up doing ok.

Byram played most of the game as left back and did extremely well, that's 2 starts 2 wins for him .

He's not as athletic as Lewis but offers something different.

Zimmermann's return made a big difference, but the key was DF adjusting the defensive/offensive balance towards defence with his selection of Tettey, Trybull and McLean. It's what you and I have been calling for all season Rick, and as we kept saying (and the Man City game demonstrated), it doesn't mean losing our goal threat and settling for boring football.
The question now is whether DF will hold his nerve and ignore the Carrow Road thirst for all out attacking play from kick off to the final whistle. If he needs an excuse to persist with today's Plan B at home next weekend, the threat posed by Aubemayang, Lacazette and Pepe should be enough.

Is that the first game this season that we've had enough fit CBs and DMs to be able to line up that way?

So much of football is about confidence, and it's been waning in recent weeks. A lot of our fanbase have had a "it'll improve when Zimbo's back" mantra of late, and I can't believe the players haven't been thinking similarly. For him to return and be part of such a good rearguard display is going to do wonders for squad confidence. Everton are poor, but it's unusual for Norwich to come up against a team in poor form and come out of it rejuvenated. Usually it's the other way around!

What a great game. I knew something was up in the first half when the commentator said "that's terrific defending from Norwich".

Not sure if I got the same commentary as everyone else here in Aus actually but some hilarious shouts and shrieks from Everton fans obviously sat close to the commentator. One women in particular will need a proper lie down after that.

I could not stay awake after half time so had to retire for the night <doh>

Although City looked on top in the first half I wasn't convinced they we would get anything more than a 0-0 draw - I now hang my head in shame

A very welcome away win and hopefully, injuries withstanding, they can make progress now. Hope Zimmerman can stay fit for the rest of the season.

Thanks to this win I am now up for the Arsenal game - and will try harder to stay awake for it :emoticon-0102-bigsm
