    !Work in Progress!

    Best Driver: Hamilton
Worst Driver: It should be Kubica, but as he's disbaled I'm giving it jointly to Grosjean & Strololol
Luckiest Driver: Grosjean, I know how Stroll has a seat, but Grosjean retaining his is a mystery
Unluckiest Driver: Hulkenburg for not having a seat.
Best Rookie/New Driver: All three british debutants did well, I'll give it to Norris though
Best Team of the season: Mercedes
    Surprise Team: Torro Rosso
    Worst Team: Williams

If I was to rank the drivers best to worst:

    Hamilton
    Leclerc
    Verstappen
    Sainz
    Albon
    Bottas
    Norris
    Perez
    Raikkonen
    Ricciardo
    Russell
    Gasly
    Hulkenberg
    Kvyat
    Magnusson
    Gio
    Stroll
    Vettel
    Grosjean
    Kubica

    And the teams:
    Mercedes
    Red Bull
    McLaren
    Toro Rosso
    Ferrari
    Racing Point
    Alfa Romeo
    Renault
    Haas
    Williams

    Season score: 6/10
After France it was a really enjoyable season but deeply scarred by the first half which was a right switch off. If only the season was as close at the beginning it might have been a different story.

Stroll has been average. Had a lot of bad luck that has denied him a lot of point finishes. Vettel has been below average. A driver of his calibre should not be making as many mistakes as he is.

2019's Best Driver: Hamilton - he keeps fighting but is wise enough to reduce his risks
Worst Driver: Grosjean - followed by Magnusson - mainly as they are experienced drivers and should be able to help the team solve the tyre issues.
Luckiest Driver: Grosjean - how can he still have a seat? He must be bringing in a massive amount of funding
Unluckiest Driver: Albon - thrust into top team half way through first F1 season and then almost gets podium but Lewis takes him out as nothing to lose - pity
Best Rookie/New Driver: Lando he has been great to watch, did well against Carlos and his interviews seem so genuine - says what he did wrong and where he can improve.

Best Team of the season: Merc - they just seem to have things so together.
Surprise Team: McLaren - finally pulling things together
Worst Team: - Hass - maybe because they are being honest and admitting they can't understand tyres but they just look stupid - I do like Gunther though. Would have been Williams but while they have a slow car they do seem to be doing things right. Oh maybe it should be Ferrari for all the mistakes from team and drivers.

(Most difficult?) – Overtake of the Season!: I sort of remember CLC round the outside of, was it Vettel? Not difficult just because the young guy went round the outside of his multi world champion team mate :)

Surprise of the season: McLaren - really seem to be progressing, hope it continues in 2020
Most expected result: Merc and Lewis winning championships
Funniest moment: Vettel spinning - so many times this season.
Excuse of the season: Ferrari - for a top team they drop the ball so often it's beyond a joke. - No excuse really.....

Special Mention: The Lando interviews with Carlos - the chemistry is great. That said, the interviews with Lando, Alexander and George their enthusiasm and banter is great to watch.

Season Rating: 7/10 There have been some great races with a few very dull ones

    New one:

What are you looking forward to next season? McLaren and Zandvoort circuit with it's banking, could be interesting.

With the size of these cars I dont think Zandvoort will be that great. What I really hope for is a genuine 3 team battle for the championship.

Absolute bollocks. worse than Kubica? I'd say if you're going to put someone from a top team as the worst driver it ought to be Bottas or Gasly.

Sorry we will have to agree to disagree .

Vettel should have done far FAR better than he has .

You can't include Kubica , you said yourself he's disabled !

Best Rookie/New Driver: Lando he has been great to watch, did well against Carlos and his interviews seem so genuine - says what he did wrong and where he can improve.

Best Team of the season: Mercedes but I think Red Bull (of whom I am not a fan) have done well given new engine supplier and challenging driver line up at the start.
Surprise Team: McLaren - showing Renault what they are doing wrong.
Worst Team: - Williams, unfortunately let down by Paddy Lowe (who I never rated as highly as others), hoping next season sees an improvement. Ferrari were let down by their driver choice and are damaged by the fuel controversy. However, it might be that Ferrari have made some important steps and broken the model that has held them back. Vettel cost them third in the drivers championship. Given it was a transformative year for Ferrari, their budget should have enabled more, so joint worst team with Williams.

(Most difficult?) – Overtake of the Season!: The one Vettel could not pull off...oh! that was several. I am going with Albon on Vettel at the Brazilian GP. For pure racing determination I would also recognise Verstappen at Austria and his final charge that saw him take the lead, but that was more about racing determination than a specific overtake manoeuvre.

Surprise of the season: Albon and his lucky number of 23. Otherwise, Ferrari self destruct capability.
Most expected result: I think something to do with Mercedes and world champions.
Funniest moment: Vettel having a hissy fit in Canada, what a childish moment.
Excuse of the season: Vettel, never his fault, always an excuse. Particularly in Canada.

Special Mention: Albon, I liked the way he handled himself in his rookie season, he did outscore Verstappen for a good chunk of the second half of the season.
Season Rating: 6/10 for the first half, 9/10 for the second half. There have been some great races since the summer break.

    New one:

What are you looking forward to next season? At least three teams in serious contention for the wins. A revival of Valtteri Bottas now he has separated from his wife, that must have been painful and difficult. Lewis having to really fight hard for wins. A revival of Williams but fearful for Renault. The prospect of Lewis going to Ferrari but if he doesn't it would not be impossible for Daniel Ricciardo to go there, if he delivers with consistency in 2020.

But ultimately Good racing and the demise of the French GP (a wish rather than an expectation).
