    Huddersfield Town v Leeds Utd
    Saturday 7th December 2019 12.30 | John Smith's Stadium

Leeds travel to the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday lunchtime to face local rivals Huddersfield Town, hoping to make it six wins on the trot!

The Whites hauled in a maximum 15 points in November, and will be keen to extend their unbeaten run into December.

Marcelo Bielsa will be without influential midfielder Kelvin Phillips who serves a one match suspension having racked up 5 yellow cards since they kicked the season off at Ashton Gate back in August.

Reliable sources at Elland Road are suggesting that Ben White will take over defensive midfield duties, with Berardi recalled to partner Cooper at centre back!

With six games remaining until the New Year, Bielsa will be under pressure to give Eddie Nketiah game time.

Since returning to training last Thursday, the on loan Gunner has played 45 minutes for the U23's and came on for Bamford with 15 minutes remaining as the 20yo aims to get match fit.

With Bamford rediscovering his shooting boots in recent weeks, what will Bielsa do?

Huddersfield are win-less in four, and have slipped to 19th in the table. Terriers Manager Danny Cowley described that he was embarrassed following his sides 5-2 defeat against Bristol City; especially as his team had been pampered having been flown down the previous day.

Can’t see him dropping Bamford, I hope Phillips missing doesn’t cost us that defensive edge, I’m confident in Whites ability to cover but we’ll certainly miss him at CB

It'll be interesting to see what if anything we miss without Philips. I say that not because I think he's over rated, but because some aren't 100% convinced by him. But we aren't a one man team and this is one match on paper we should win. But as we are Leeds Utd you never know.<ok>

Could it be possible in the absence of Phillips to play Eddie and Bamford and rearrange the midfield and defence to almost 4-4-2? If it doesn't work he can take either Bamford or Eddie off and revert to plan A?

It’s about now most of you look for my in depth analysis of our prospects for this game.

    We’ll stuff ‘em.

Bookies seem to be listening to me too, it’s understandable, as we are 1/2 for the win.

Don't think it will, if White steps in at CM he's going to do a good job giving everything like he normally does, Berardi is more than capable of fitting in the defensive line.

I tend to agree, will be interesting to see how White does. I think he’ll do fine, though there is the problem that Berardi is not at the same level as White as CB.

I’ll be right every game. Until I’m wrong. I think you’ll be ok with the son in law though, despite a few players out our squad should be too much for them.

There is no doubt Huddersfield will up their game but I think Leeds are beginning to look like a compact team with confidence. If we have started to score goals we can beat anyone in this league and most in the PL.

I think White will do a decent job, maybe a good job and I think Berardi will do an okay job at CB but the problem for me is the willingness to weaken two positions.

White won’t be as good as Phillips in that position and Berardi not as good as White.
