Balls to the wall racing in the aged, thundering V8s. I love it when they dust off these old monsters. The sanitized racing of today has lost a lot compared to these beasties.
The 2019 season of sumo witnessed the emergence of an emerging star. His name is Enho. His promotion from the lower division to the big boys has caused a real stir among fans of the sport. Why? Because he's a tiny, hard working fish swimming among a sea of sharks. He's by far the smallest man in the top division. His survival in the ring is dependent on his amazing speed and dexterity. In some bouts he has to give away hundreds of pounds to an opponent. It's little wonder the fans are flocking to him. The two clips below show the problems he faces in every bout. To win at least 8 from the 15 on offer is the main target of most of the combatants. One of the things to remember when watching the clips is that as each win comes, the opposition grows stronger as the tournament wears on.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Bob Willis, aged just 70. I have fond memories as a schoolboy cricket fan of him charging in with that unique run-up. Those who saw it will never forget his 8-wicket haul at Headingly and they were his ashes just as much as Botham’s. I didn’t see much of him as a broadcaster but what I did see was spot on in an age where so many have got it wrong. RIP
Not just his cricketing career Oddy, his Test Reviews on Sky were something to wait for as well, giving straight forward honest assessments to what he thought a Test playing cricketer should be playing to, always wanting the very best for the England cricket team... The one and only Sir Viv Richards put him as his 2nd most feared bowler he faced behind Dennis Lillee, and his exploits as a fast bowler are legendary not just for his almost cartoon run up... We all have to go sometime, eventually, but it's what you leave behind that makes you more of a man/woman, and Big Bad Bob Willis will definitely be remembered as an England cricketing legend... RIP
How good is this? Juan Manuel Fangio, one of the finest F1 drivers of all time, puts his new Maserati through it's paces. At the time he was 47 and the reigning world champion. Driving what would today be described as a coffin on wheels, the great man punts the beast around a track I'd be afraid to drive a modern road can on. Watching him work the wheel and fight the rubber on those thin tyres was amazing. He went on to win the title again with Maserati.
NFL bet for this weekend. College football pretty much coming to a close now. Just the bowls and championship games over the next few weeks so I'll be watching but not betting on those. Buccaneers -3.5 Patriots -9 Seahawks - 6 Vikings - 2.5 Raiders - 6.5 Eagled - 4.5 £5 pays £247
Is it even possible that my team could actually get an elite manager like Carlo Ancelotti! If we do, can he actually cut it with a bang average team in a city with a dilapidated stadium?
Just saying this to my mate at work this morning... I do think that it's just a pr stunt to keep the Everton name in the limelight, like the Zaha transfer story, making headlines etc as I don't for one moment think Ancelotti will go to Everton....
Same could be said for the pointless competition that they're playing in. About as prestigious as Charity Shield
I wouldn't worry Smokey. Can't see your Owls being in it anytime soon . Regardless of the pointlessness of the comp VAR shown up again for the ridiculous heap of ****e that it is.
It is a joke, they're using it so badly. It could be good and benefit the sport it just needs a bit of a overhaul. League and FA Cup other pointless competitions that need scrapping or changing
And who sponsors the Stokies Oddy, oh yeah, BET365, probably with a cash out special for lare goals...
Hate to say it but they may as well give the PL trophy to the Scousers now. They're annihilating second place Leicester on their own patch.
