It's even worse when traditional media TV radio and newspapers (the ones you used to be able to trust) just go with what they find on social media. Journalists cost money and everyone is cutting back.

Maybe we should replace our politicians with harder working, lower cost migrants?

I live in a constituency that was won by only 300 or so votes last time, and it's neck and neck this. I've been called five times by polling companies over the past month or so, and the manner in which they ask their questions is shameful. Today's (from the Conservative Party) was "Do you favour leaving the EU in the next few months and ending the current uncertainty and negotiations, or would you favour delaying this process even further?". I simply refused to answer. (I was also asked who I preferred "Boris or Jeremy Corbyn?" No Johnson attached, somewhat deliberately I'd imagine). That said, at least the Conservatives were honest that it was them ringing me. When Survation called me a few week ago - with a load of weighted questions, though not quite as bad as the above - they kept telling me how the Lib Dems were polling way in front in my constituency (they're not). When I asked who commissioned them to conduct the poll they were very evasive. I eventually discovered that it was... Rebeka... err... the Lib Dems. Polls are useful to an extent but - as with all sections of the media - they will ver, very frequently have an agenda. And they won't care how they get you to say or think what they want you to think, as long as you say or think thing their way.

I don't know.....it's a bit more like having 3 fellas, one of whom is doing a 10 year stretch for murder and 2 who have got minor ASBOs and calling them all criminals

Correct. No one listens to educated experts on anything anymore. They would rather follow some celebrity or faceless keyboard warrior..

The difference is, that we have a deal agreed in the short term, which at least moves us forward and removes some uncertainty and hopefully some form of that deal will be made permanent. It's in everybody's interest to sort it quickly.

What the opposition is offering, is starting all over again and holding another referendum, which will quite obviously take far longer.

Honorary title from her husband which she chooses not to use ( unlike Dr Allme) as opposed to actual name...

Blair is still the only Labour leader canny enough to have won a GE in the last x decades, reasoning correctly you can't change things if you are not in government.

Is there any reason Blair joined the Labour Party if he was actually a tory?
