He's always, as far as I've known, been openly Labour.

    I agree about Blair.

I agree that the Tories have their people at the forefront of their plans.

I disagree about Johnson though you may be right - who knows? Yes, he's much less of a divisive figure but he led the Labour Remain campaign. Straddling Leave and Remain has been as massive problem for Labour and remember, at the referendum, the national majority was Leave.

The likes of John Major intervening is a serious mistake. Who is going to listen to that numpty ? He has no relevance today and I reckon half of the electorate don't know who he is, whilst the other half have forgotten all about him. Like the chap said on QT.."Yesterdays man".
Changing the subject slightly Its like the Democrats in the USA, pursing Trump with impeachment, but the senate has a GOP majority. There's no way turkeys will vote for Christmas. The only way to defeat Trump is in an election, but Democrats will get mullered because they are pursuing an aimless exercise. I can't imagine many Tories not voting Tory because John Major opened his gob.

    I'm not tribal at all.

In the three general elections, I've voted for three different parties.

We've had 40 years of neoliberalism and 10 years of austerity.

You might not agree with Labour's policies, but they're ones who offer an alternative. The left are the only ones who are talking about the future.

We've had no mention of Tory policies other than Brexit.

Of course, it's tribal. The Conservatives are rabidly tribal - hence why they run a smear campaign and one of disinformation.

I am tribal. I am livid with the state of this country.

I am livid with 4 million kids in poverty for instance. I am livid with struggling to get a doctors appointment. I am livid with financial inequality. I am livid with austerity being a political choice. I am livid with the state of the NHS. I am livid that our privatised utilities offer rip-off or rubbish services for the benefit of shareholders.

Nothing is neutral in life. Everything is bias. Pretty simple stuff.

However, I have to make reasoned arguments day in day out and back my arguments with evidence. I can easily do that with this Labour campaign.

It's a tough one to call but there is evidence of Remain Tories and your old fashioned Tory wets going Lib Dem (even some Labour). Major will speak to them.

With regard to the USA, impeachment does look unlikely, I agree.

What does 4 million kids in poverty mean? What is poverty?

    Fair enough!

A more centrist Labour leader, maybe someone like a (off the top of me head) Hilary Benn would give BJ a closer run for his money. JC is too extreme for a lot of people, therefore while the Tories may not get a huge majority they will get enough to win. 21 seat majority, perhaps 2/3/4 seats either way.
    Cheers

Maybe life in Britain suits you well.

I do ok too - not rich, not poor. Enjoy what I do.

But I vote for what benefits people the most, not just what would benefit me.

A happier more equal society benefits everyone.

You could be right. The polls suggest that. We will see.

It won’t be happier with Corbyn’s race to the bottom. It’s not in mankind’s dna to be more equal.

Nige is like a dumped ex-girlfriend of Boris.

    Farage fears 'sell-out' Brexit
Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage's main campaign visit of the day was in Doncaster, where he told supporters the country would be "back in crisis" over Brexit by May next year if the Conservatives win a majority in the election.

A few weeks ago Mr Farage stood down his candidates in seats the Tories' won in 2017 - but he's been much colder about Boris Johnson's Brexit deal in recent days.

With regard to the DNA part - greed is a big unfortunate sleight on humanity I agree - as is the clamour to justify and defend it.

No it isn't. You could be talking about 'relative poverty' which is actually measuring inequality, which is different.

We have a very unequal society but that is not the same as saying 4 million kids, a third of all children in the UK, live in poverty. That would be nonsense.

Edit - this is why people don't believe what the left media say about anything, because the spout ****e like a 3rd of all kids live in poverty which is plainly not true.

I've always said it, but Nigel Farage doesn't want Brexit to happen. Because if we did get Brexit he'll become irrelevant.
