Did you know that there's a 2 mile pipe under the City of Bruges ??
It transfers the beer from the Brewery to the Bottling factory !.

Yes I’m quite fussy about what I drink. Lager does not register on the scale.

 

Yes, pretty sure somebody said that on here the other week. Speaking about pipes etc, the reason the pound/dollar currency exchange rate is called the "cable" is because there is a cable that runs the length of the Atlantic that used to be the quickest way of knowing the exchange rate. Doubt they use it anymore.

 

I believe that cable still does get used !
I watched a program a couple if years ago showing how they repair them

 

Can't imagine why it would be used for currency exchange though. Other things, possibly though

I never realised that there was cables runni g right across the Atlantic! Until I watched it.
And various other places in the world .
