Curtis Jones will not be leaving Liverpool on loan. Football Insider claims that Jurgen Klopp was open to the idea of the 18-year-old going elsewhere to get more experience. However, following Jones' heroics against at the weekend, which saw him score the winning goal during Liverpool's win over Everton, Klopp wants to keep him at Anfield this season. Meanwhile, Rhian Brewster, 19, is expected to complete a loan move to Swansea this month.
Contract talks between Liverpool and Georginio Wijnaldum are 'in the pipeline' despite fears he'll leave in 2021. The Dutchman moved to Anfield in 2016 and has exceeded expectations, developing into one of the top midfielders in world football. His current deal is set to expire in the summer of 2021 leading to fears that Wijnaldum could leave then. However, Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol insists Wijnaldum is 'very happy' at Liverpool and the midfielder believes he's at the best club in the world. Solhekol also says both the player and the club are working on agreeing a new contract.
Not necessarily. He's coming back from an injury before which he was one of the youngsters closest to breaking through. Half a season loan will do him the world of good because realistically he's not ready to rotate with any of the first team unlike Jones for instance.
Phillips will be shipped out again once Matip and Lovren are back. Origi has done well to prove himself as a backup. Woodburn though, he will never make it. Neco Williams and Curtis Jones won't go anywhere for now and have been around the first team squad. Elliot if he continues to develop won't be loaned out, but Brewster has clearly gone back a step
It's to simplistic a view to think that if someone goes out on loan hes no longer wanted. Obviously if your in contention for the first team they are not going to ship you out, but conversely just because your shipped out on loan doesnt mean your lfc career is over.
Still think it's more about the injuries with Brewster. He needs a loan as rehab. He missed the Arsenal cup game and Qatar trip through injury and hasn't had a chance since. His position is also well covered unlike the defence and midfield. Time will tell but I think he's a talent that we need to nurture.
Hopefully he's not going to be the next Nemeth, Pacheco, Suso, etc. Imagine Klopp having managed those guys...
Liverpool consider move to sign “really dangerous” £70million attacker in summer Liverpool moved in to lure Takumi Minamino early on in the winter transfer window and now, they are linked with a summer move to hire the services of another attacking player. According to an exclusive story covered by 90min, Liverpool are considering making a move to secure the signing of Spanish international Adama Traore in the summer. https://paisleygates.com/archives/36724
Its difficult in today's market to judge how much someone will go for, but I'd be disappointed if we signed him, I'd hope to be looking to for a player with more attributes than hes quick
Theres been few stories about him the last couple of weeks, all linking to big clubs, Barca, Citeh, us. This has the feel of an agent drumming up interest whilst his client is in the spotlight, get the big pay day before the media move on.
