A trouble making, womanising, piss head, who’s best days look well and truly behind him. Just what we need I hate league one.
Must be pretty close though. His record is shocking, I live in Norwich and he was a bit of a joke here, and that was when he was in his prime. 2 goals in 31 games speaks for itself. He's now over the hill, and his record has only gotten worse. 1 in 9 in the Norwegian league ffs . I really ****ing hope these links with the Glenn Whelan's and Kyle Lafferty's of this world are nothing more than lazy journalism. God help us if that's the type of player Donald and co. are looking at
Glenn Wheelchair and Kyle Laughatme ...and we whinged about graham?? Also linked with a 38 yo Bristol cb. Speaks volumes that we are linked with penshioned off journeymen and concerns me that PP harps on about a high pressing game . Difficult to sustain when you fill the team with old codgers
Parkinson has bought some time after decent results in the Xmas fixtures, what he does in the transfer window will define if he has turned the corner with the fans or not. He needs to think long and hard about WHO he brings in and will they actually improve on what he has right now. With Lafferty, I think its a huge risk, but lets see if the lad signs.
Nor sure about this one Maybe a short contract till end of season if fit Can’t cost us much However if he is the only forward we will get Then I would look elsewhere edit just found this please log in to view this image Stephen Elliott ✔@SleevesElliott If he came in I’d understand it. He wouldn’t be the worse option out there. Not exactly young but big & awkward to play against for CBs & may suit playing in PP team. Personally I would prefer Liam Boyce if 1 or other but K L free so wouldn’t be surprise
I have a feeling that folk will be disappointed with how this transfer window goes. I don't believe we are clearing the decks to bring in new signings, for example, McGeough has gone and we've recalled Ethan Robson. That is like for like and we've saved on wages. We might bring in a couple of over the hill pensioners but PP might be told to make do with that and bringing on 1 or 2 youth players.
Unless we get a few more out eg a certain none scoring striker who cost at least a couple of £m...I cannot see another much needed striker coming in...
PP was hired because he's proven he can work with no money to spend and still produce a squad capable of fighting. He wasn't so much the cheapest option, but the only option that would agree to having zero funds in the market and a remit to reduce the wage bill at the same time.
If Phil Parkinson is wanting to try get fans on side, other than winning games he needs to be signing players who can excite the fans and give us something different. Lafferty is the polar opposite to this. Another journeyman who is way past his best (if he ever had one) and has been at 11 clubs during his career. Would suggest the comments around being a troublemaker are correct... You would think that as a club we would learn about signing players coming to the end of their careers and wanting one big last payday...
