The only person stirring things in this thread is smug. This is a complete non-story and the OP reads as another 'I said this and look how ITK I am' post. The article doesn't even say anything relevant to whether he's still working for SAFC or not, but well done.
Surprised it lasted so long. The point scoring is absolutely tedious and putting me off reading anything, barely bother anymore.
I put up threads and posts and try to stick to the point. But I think I'll knock it on the head for a while, I'm not taking the rap for everything people don't like. That's exactly the kind of shyte that's ruined RTG. This thread, and the 'Statement' thread have both become personal attacks on me. Some people take forums was to seriously, I don't and can take them or leave them. I'll leave the board to people who can post better stuff and improve it, take it back to 'how it used to be' or whatever they want.
With respect though if you put up threads and information about being 'ITK' then you are kinda putting yourself on a pedestal in terms of getting questions and criticism. I don't take it too seriously & I'm not wanting you to 'knock it on the head', I'm just sick of most threads being derailed with tit for tat.
I post what I'm told by people in the know and have continued because many people have said they appreciate it. Why that should provoke people into making personal attacks is beyond me. Most of what I post comes from people on here, or RTG, who see what flak I get so don't want to bother. There's one lad on RTG who works at the club and gets first hand info, but no one believed him so he just stopped. I guess some people just don't want anyone to know anything they don't know or do anything they don't do. Perhaps people would prefer it if only people aren't in the know post on here ...
Don't let them get to you Smug. I think in general people are pissed off with whats going on with the club and taking it out on easy targets. Some want to see the negative in everything, some want to see the positive. Hopefully in the next 12 months or so we will all realise that we all support the club in some way shape or form and want the best for it. I'm looking forward to the day that people stop using terms like happy clappers and knee jerkers because from what i've seen over the last few years the "fans" are doing just fine at dividing themselves without the help of the owners. Add to this some peoples opinions that if you don't go to matches then you aren't a real supporter. I can guarantee that there are quite a few exiles who contibute more to the club financially over a year then lots of season ticket holder. Sure, they may spend more with travel, accommodation, meals etc but the vast majority of that spend doesn't go to the club. Anyway, i'll stop now, rant over
If nobody posted threads then there would be nothing to read/discuss. The ones who complain about the threads never seem to start threads themselves. If you don't like the thread or the poster don't read it, simples.
I'm an optimist mate and always want what's best for the club. That seemed to really aggravate people for some reason. Some people have said they'd rather I kept posting stuff, even if it turns out wrong, because at least it's optimistic and gives them hope. I've had dozens of PM's, on here and RTG, from lads saying it's obvious some people would rather I was proved wrong than see FPP take over ... ... absolute mental cases who need to drop their uber-negative agendas.
I enjoy reading your post and don't understand people taking pot shots at you You have always been straight with your info and don't just repeatedly say the same thing over and over again Keep on posting please
It's the old 'I don't like what I'm reading' shyte from people who must think those who do post are being paid
It's not a non-story because Charlie has contradicted himself yet again. They should release a book "How not to lie" by Stewie and Charlie. I nearly posted the Times article myself last night. I bet I wouldn't have received the stick @Smug in Boots has and he didn't claim to be ITK about anything on this thread.
Unfortunately it's a sad indictment of society today. Better to prove someone else wrong than risk having an opinion yourself that others may judge.
After reading comments on various forums regarding the players we should be signing I feel he does have a point with these folk..
Didn't take him long did it. Cant help himself after yesterday's agreement to ignore. (that may be factually incorrect)
Methven has proved that folk are not very different in the south or the north and being small minded is not affected by the standard of education received. A lot of the negativity faced by Stewart and Methven has been driven by the lack of knowledge of business and finance but certainly hasn't been helped by misleading and contrary statements made by the dynamic duo. It's a **** storm that didn't need to happen, how the Feck this bloke is in PR I don't know, the excuse could be he is too close to the action to be subjective.
Whilst i agree in the main with your assessment of Southern toffs and their views of us oop North. I have to say methvens"s statement if i remember correctly, was that "most Sunderland supporters" didn't have a clue about business, not all people from Sunderland, not even all Sunderland supporters, but most. Now given London is the financial hub of the country there's going to be more business minded folk than anywhere else I'd imagine. Am i bothered ? Am i fookas like. He's right about me, im shìt at sorting me pension and stuff out ffs, Ironic if some of the supporters who take umbrage from that off the cuff remark are ones who openly slagged him to fook on social media beforehand
