Any incoming player suggested by the manager or one who has played for the manager before should have a completely independent scouting/recruitment process. We saw with Redkrapp how many of the team were simply signed because Harry thought they were "triffic" lads! Would it happen in any other industry, that the manager simply brings in his/her previous staff?
