Brian has it on good authority that the other 5 are clubs that assist members to lose that excess padding, post-Christmas.

SSN reporting that the Bruno to Utd deal is on the verge of collapsing over a difference of £10m. I struggle to believe that. More likely explanation is that Ole's future is hanging by a thread and the board are fed up of sanctioning mega money deals only for the manager who requested the signing to be gone within a matter of months.

 

Fee probably went up after Sporting watched Burnley dick over Utd and realised how much they need him.

 

While I do think that Foyth has been unfairly dicked around since Steptonho took over, if there's a way that we can convince Sporting to loan him in for six months to get Portuguese VDV over the line we absolutely need to try

A transfer window of Gedson and back up striker isn’t really showing much ambition is it.

 

i heard that same comment on Talksport, does the Utd hierarchy not realise that they too are observing and how desperate they must be.

 

It would be better if only Spurs management know who our transfer targets are. Modric and Berbatov were kept off the hack radar pretty well until they signed.

 

There are very, very few decent options available most January windows and this year is no exception. Look at the strikers we've been linked to. Bunch of journeymen and nobodies. Piatek at least has potential to develop still but Ze Luis and Jose Willian are literally textbook average.

For me, a successful window will be making Lo Celso's deal permanent, signing a striker and moving at least 3 players on, preferably permanently. It is abundantly clear that we are struggling to get players in before raising funds and clearing wages through player sales. There is a backlog of at least 8 players who could leave tomorrow and no one would give a toss. It wasn't dealt with in the summer and if we leave it all to do next summer it'll just get harder to shift and we'll make less money shifting it.

That's why I get more excited reading that Newcastle are in for Rose than I do seeing us linked to random midfielders and strikers across Europe.

Ze Luis has basically scuppered any chance of moving by not bothering to get a Portuguese passport, but if Willian Jose really is a loan with an option to buy I can see it working...when he returns to Sociedad in the summer and we sign someone else

For me the base minimum by the end of the window is
* Sign GLC permanently
* Move on Eriksen
* Get Rose out of the ****ing door
* Get a temporary fix up front

...on the last point, the temporary fix is basically there until Parrott gets some appearances around March/April, because ****ing hell the stubbornness on that one is getting irritating

 

Toon were in for Rose in the summer but he weren't prepared to take a cut in his mars bar allowance... sorry , wages.

The club need to tell him he will not EVER play for us again so he takes the hint...I have said it before that anyone suffer from racist abuse and mental health issues deserves understanding and support...he recieved this from the fans but has thrown it back at us with THAT interview with a news paper that is happy to spew racist **** and support Frank Bruno having a full break doen like this
