No less than a win. 2 0 to us. Tranmere suffering after effects of Sunday plus I don't think they're much good. Anything less and I will be dissappointed

Good post mate, a midfield chosen from Dobson. Power, Scowen, plus Robson and Embleton, & Leadbitter standing by as cover looks good to me, with bags of potential to boot, as for Embleton he played wide for the England team if I remember rightly and he is a very talented and versatile player, shame for one reason or another we haven't seen more of him and Robson in our first team squad.

Well the pressure is well & truly back on after tonights results. Only 9 points separating the top 10 is a bit bonkers, esp given those in the 5th-10th slits having a couple of games in hand.

So a big win tomorrow would be a big help.

Just looked at the table and it's mad. Peterborough in 4th will be about 11th if the teams below win their games in hand (not that they all can or will obviously).

Coventry sitting there having a sneaky underrated season. Games in hand to potentially take them top and only 3 defeats all season. If they find their shooting boots to kill a few more games off, they could be the team to beat.

Here's hoping the league give them a points deduction for not having a home ground :emoticon-0103-cool:

they're definitely a dark horse this season... and our last game of 7 in February. 7 games in February man. I was planning on a dry short month, but fear my nerves will be shredded by our schedule.

Anyway, the vino & beer are stocked up for tonight. Hoping for a relaxing glass of red to match a convincing win..

Not sure about this one. Never like playing a team that’s just been humped, always have a point to prove. Last nights results put a little more pressure back on us. We should win but this is Sunderland. Need to come out and put them under pressure from the off and hopefully get an early goal. Heart says away win head says score draw. Hopefully the heads wrong. We need 3 points.

Sunderland have made us all just a little reluctant to be optimistic even when we have good reason.

Tranmere have had a rotten January having been beaten 4 times at home, a replay and extra time then a battering in the cup.

They're in the relegation places and will most likely go down ...

... a Sunderland win should be expected, a home win would be a disaster.

If we manage to get to 2-0 it should be a case of sitting on the lead and avoiding cards or injuries.

    Tough month ahead.

Its realistically why we need the additional 2/3 signings as our squad in my opinion, as despite the improvement in fitness levels, this could come back to bite us in the arse.
Yes Im stating the obvious and pretty much the opinion of every Sunderland fan, too many teams starting to pick up consistent form

Yep I think we all know the end of last seasons problems, the massive distraction of the tinpot cup, fixture congestion, injuries and mental and physical fatigue.

Plus of course we had not replaced Maja's goals... and imho we still haven't

New squad members needed... a goal scoring striker

It's a mess down the flanks, hope it doesn't affect our wide players too much.
    0-2 to the Lads
Ha'Way the Lads, we need the 3 points tonight.
