He was my sons favourite as a very young kid!! (Mainly because of the backflip!!) - as you say, would've made an awesome centre half if he could concentrate!! We've had a lot of forwards who worked - even end of career ones like Stewart - still worked! This is the thing with Grigg - if he chased and harried, even if he didn;t score, the fans would be fine with it if he's trying to make things happen. It's the apparent lack of effort that's the problem
Agree in principle. The reality is that he would struggle to find another club to match his SAFC wage
I know its in a different league but Liverpool's front men don't let defenders time to think before they are closed down
Good to see you sorted for the next few years in France You and Mrs Smug have worked hard for it and deserve it
Kenwyn and Cisse looked an unstoppable combination , but for some reason, personality clashes rumoured, it never worked out, a real shame as they were great to watch, happy days.
I read an article the other day which said whickam was 26 is this right I thought he was about 35 now?
He was a better player in better form when we sold him than Marco was. Yet we got more fir Narco iirc
The demonization by many on here of grigg is scandalous. He has signed a valid binding contract. It hasnt worked out . He is entitled to dig his heels in and have a say in where he will go to, loan or otherwise. The football luddites who believe a player should have no say in where, when, what bewilder me. If there is a villain in the piece in all of this, it is our infamous tyre kicking owner
Did you know that the term originated as "the villain of the peace" meaning someone who disturbed the day to day calm, but so many people assumed that it was "villain of the piece", as in a wrongdoer in a particular situation, and used it that way that the Cambridge dictionary definition was changed.
Do you think "baring in mind" and "towing the line" will be similarly rewarded? Just selected two out of several
