A lot of fans don’t seem to like him, personally I think he’s a decent reporter, he always asks the right questions and certainly better than most on Humberside.

Month ago we were 2 points off the play offs, we're now closer to the relegation zone, tough questions need asking sometimes, tho he does like to ask a toughie

Often the comments on HDM aren't worth reading, but can't argue with pretty much all of this (bar maybe the playing down of the 2 wins). 4 3 3 could work, but we simply don't have the players for it, especially in the middle 3, in spite of GMcC bringing in 15 players already .....

I was worried about the way were playing seven weeks ago, we had very lucky wins at QPR and Wednesday and it masked a system that doesn't dominate in midfield and exposes our two full backs to raid after raid. If you don't control the middle of the pitch you're in trouble. I worry that Grant wants players he has worked with before which mean players who have never played at this level . Do we have leaders? When teams play City they must love the fact the midfield poses no threat, it's lacking steel and guile. Honeyman and Da Silva look so light, Eaves and Maginnes are not going to score goals at this level, it's beyond them. Malik Wilkes is overweight, sluggish and has no pace. Irvine fails to break up play and is also lightweight and gets caught in possession, huffs and puffs but no end product. We lack a couple of real characters who have the presence and ruggedness that the younger players can learn from and be inspired by.
I though Brentford were a class act but we made them look good through a system that played to their strengths. 4 3 3 is a system that played into their hands, especially when the three in the middle didn't break up play once and were bypassed for 90 minutes.

First time I’ve seen city play live in a long time. With living in Aus I don’t get to see many games and I’m not a subscriber to tigers player or whatever it’s called as it’s going into dumb and dumbers pockets.
I’m assuming it’s not always that bad? I’ve seen every single highlight reel this season and nothing prepared me for that showing. It looked like a championship side against a non league team in the fa cup. I’m 31 and I can remember the days of the great escape followed Rodney Rowe and Kev Francis (hence the username). I only have fleeting memories of the dark days of Boothferry Park getting 4/5 thousand attendances. But to see an almost empty stadium watching football played by players who either aren’t up to the task or genuinely don’t give a **** broke my heart. We were on the cusp of something great. We were never going to be a superpower in English football, but at one point we were selling 25,000 seats every week. We had a great squad. And we were genuinely going places. We could have been occasional European competition entrants and cemented our place As equals with the elite of this country. Instead we’re now consigned to this. Obviously the majority of the blame lies with the Allams. But blame aside, apart from anything else it’s just a crying ****ing shame.

Good on Eric as the players now need to develop a siege mentality.
Burns is a fat **** who revels in city not doing well. The apologists don’t see it.
    well said.

    new day. Fresh start
It’s ok posters wishing so and so was back
    They’re not
Terry has to adapt and change his formation. Simple as that. And then grind out some draws. A draw doesn’t seem to be in his mindset. Well it ****ing should.

League 1 manager with a league 1 team. Seems daft but I would rather get relegated this season rather than watch us get beaten week in and week out. Take the hit of league 1 football, rebuild as we did back in the days of Taylor and Brown and get some optimism back at the KC. Whether that is with Terry at the helm is another question but I feel he needs at least another transfer window to give him a fair crack, then if we still struggle, we should review the situation. Only downside is the Allam shaped elephant in the room.

    That last sentence. So true.

BTW, £5 for access games is a great deal for international viewers. I wouldn't let the thought of part of a fiver into their pockets get in the way. And no, it's not always that bad.

he only plays 433, look it up. Every other team he’s ever managed. I wished people would stop saying the formation needs to change - well yes it does, but it won’t.

As for Burns - fat **** who is asking critical questions of what is going on in the team is a description that could apply to a hell of a lot of people sitting near me. He’s doing his job by asking the questions the fans would as themselves if they were there. Or perhaps you’d be asking for a selfie and a signed shirt?

    I disagree
    He’s a decent bloke.
I didn’t hear him yesterday, but no one surely could have started an interview with a ‘let’s be positive and get behind the lads and manager’ slant after yesterday?
He ought to ask awkward questions, and there been times people have criticised him for being too positive so he’ll never please everyone

    Good post.

Looked and sounded like an eerie atmosphere yesterday. Fans can fickle fkuers ,but it not just us. We had a decent run so obviously things went quite for a while but in the background our dodgy home record of late was always going to be another tipping point. As the goals went in the stark reality of actually losing players who had been rumoured to be leaving for months finally hit many fans at the game. The fact that we would have probably been turned over yet again even with both on board wasn’t the point yesterday it simply compounded the problem some people have of losing the best striker have had in years. On top of that the in form opposition was all wrong for City yesterday as well. Somebody posted about losing the game mentality before the kick off and that’s the way it seemed to me. Basically we lost another game at home this time heavily and some fans took it upon themselves to show all the frustration of the performance and stupid transfer market at the Allams for reasons I personally have become bored with now but still respect how others react. Bottom line is this. Until the club changes hands with new owners who want a bit more than money...the anger and frustration goes on.

Many made there mind up on that happening ages ago...

Complaining about Burnsy is missing the point really , he can't do anything about what happens on the pitch.

If McCann really can't change formation to suit the players we have available then we could be in trouble.

I like Burnsy. I like his passion, he reports as a fan not as a journalist - remember the ****e we had to endure when he was banned from the KC?!

    He’s a decent bloke

Nothing disrespectful about Burnsy comments at all , Lichaj ( who has been gash for the last 6 weeks or so ) needs to realise that a very bang average group of players no longer have their get out of jail cards , it’s obvious to anybody we will now finish closer to the bottom than the top - that’s not disrespectful its just the way it is
