Totally agree, should have won that by a country mile, but you can’t legislate for diving, poor referees and not being one of the top 6. Fact of life, concerns me that without JWP, we now have a big gap on the pitch. I hope we have a plan C. Not happy with Vesty and Romeo seems slower to become a liability at crucial times, his blatant foul/yellow, really damaged us. BUT we did give an 80 minute master class in how to play this game. Just have to get to 90 minutes done!

Hmm. Can see why var didn't overturn, he's definitely dived but it's a non contact sport in the penalty area now in all but name.

Just seen it. There is contact at waist height. One of those where it stays with the on field decision.

 

The ref gave it rather than var so still would have been a penalty regardless.

There was a slight dig at var in there anyway, I was never under the illusion that it would eliminate/discourage diving as any 'contact' will always be justified as a foul.
