Interesting/worrying news coming out of Maranello (via an employee's mate's best friend's daughter who married a German who has an Uncle who works for Auto Bild) https://www.planetf1.com/news/ferra...mfwsb-c6fdHud2Oi0HXNiUEbo_OHvbdtMOPddeklRIkSM
I can’t imagine Ferrari fighting for a Championship this year. To do that they almost have to change their development direction completely and given 2021 rule change is on the horizon, I think they may have a tricky year. Red Bull are probably the team to fight Mercedes.
With sentences constructed or copied from an Ernie Wise play...''like what Mercedes did in 2019'' I think the extended family connection sums it up.
Can this not go in the the-big-f1-2020-car-reveal-thread? Interestingly there are a couple of stories kicking about where Liberty and FIA want to stop having to have unanimous agreement on changes. Maybe coincidental but it sounds like 2 proposed alternative dates for the Chinese GP been rejected by the teams Also Liberty seem to be playing a waiting game on cancelling Chinese GP. My guess is if they cancel they lose money and maybe cover Chinese companies losses so they are waiting for Chinese Gov to cancel sporting events in April....... Sounds a bit like money, money nothing to do with staff safety......
Of course it’s all about the money . it’s no surprise that they have waited to mentioning postponing the race , until all sports events have been cancelled until the end of March . Take a bow FE . For cancelling . As for F1 .
Haas have really disappointed me with their bland livery and general “B team” approach to F1. I thought they were here to upset the Apple cart but no sign of ambition beyond midfield yet. At least their Team Principal is hilarious on the F1 Documentary “Drive to Survive”
Well it all starts again from today! FERRARI up first with an apparantly “completely redesigned” challenger. That is mightily ambitious in the final year of regs and we all remember the 2013 McLaren!! In more hilarious news, Renault have tweeted that their “excitement levels are rising” at the launch of their car on Wednesday. However in the small print, a) they aren’t revealing the car and b) the car isn’t physically going to be there You couldn’t make it up please log in to view this image
Hmm, I can't see them all doing a Williams at the start of Testing. ( this imoji is my impression of what 'doing a Williams' looks like. A badger flapping its arms expecting to fly )
True but they are really the only privateer team left. I'm not sure if they can last till the budget cap really starts to work in 2023!! I hope they do and can keep off the last row of the grid. It would be great to see them actually racing other teams. I wonder how they will come across in the Netflix Drive to Survive programs that are only a couple of weeks away now (28th Feb, I think). I wonder when we will see first real 2020 car, I doubt it's till testing. All these reveals now are just publicity and don't really show the new cars at all.
